This hotel met all of the requirements at a fair price. It sits in front of a huge town center shopping area that has a PF Chang’s, Coopers Hawk, Whole Foods, Sephora, Target and lots of other stores. You can walk to all of them in a few minutes. There’s a Mission BBQ that’s practically in the same parking lot as the hotel. Parking is easy and free in their own parking lot. The complimentary breakfast is good, with the standard self-serve choices. The hotel has two floors and there is an elevator. The staff was friendly and professional. My room had a mini fridge, a microwave and ample closet space. I really liked the Dove products in the room. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and body lotion.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Annapolis for two nights (Thursday and Friday) while in town for the boat show. The location was excellent, close to the downtown area with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. However, for the cost (about $594 total for two nights), the room was disappointing overall. Our room was on the first floor near the laundry and restocking area, which could be noisy, and it faced a cemetery — not exactly the view we were hoping for. The room itself was clean but dated, with peeling wallpaper, a chipped tub, and a very small bathroom. The heating and cooling system was frustrating; no matter what temperature it was set to, it alternated between blasting icy air for a few minutes and then shutting off until the room became stiflingly hot again. The Samsung “Free TV” system also didn’t work properly — every channel we tried to watch just buffered endlessly, so we couldn’t really relax with any television at all. The bed was comfortable enough, and the location made it easy to get around town, but for nearly $600 for two nights, the experience didn’t match the price. In hindsight, I would’ve preferred to stay a bit farther out and save some money. The convenience was nice, but overall, the stay just wasn’t worth the cost.

Nice staff. Decent hotel! Bed comfy. The cleaning staff works very hard, too. Management just needs to invest in better bathrooms. The showers are moldy, as others have shared in reviews. Not good! TV randomly turned on every 2 hours overnight, waking us up multiple times. And the hallway is very smelly and musty. So hallway carpets and walls need some love ASAP. Lobby also could use facelift.

Mold all over shower and weird smell in room made me feel unsafe health-wise. We were only there for one night and needed the quick place to stay, otherwise would have needed to find another hotel. Conditioner in the shower was extremely watered down. Hotel itself is slightly inconvenient to get to off of the main road, requiring a u-turn to get in.
