  The Holiday Inn Express Boston North-Woburn has a genuinely convenient location that makes it a practical base for exploring the greater Boston area or handling business in the north suburbs. The location is easily the strongest point of this property. Service is adequate and gets the job done without being particularly impressive. The rooms, however, are the biggest disappointment — noticeably dated, cramped, and in need of a serious refresh that you'd expect from a branded hotel at this price point. Better room quality would make this a much more competitive option.

  I just had to write a review about the amazing service I had received from Eric (front desk overnight). I had to stay here for work during a snow storm. It was located conveniently 4 mins away from my job, surrounded by restaurants and across the street from a shopping plaza, but most convenient it is located next to exits off the highway. Rooms were clean and had a microwave. The hotel also provides a pretty decent breakfast, in the morning. The best part of my experience was the service. Even though I did not have to deal with much of the service, (since my job had booked the room for me), my short interaction was very helpful and memorable. I woke up early for my shift anticipating having to shovel out the mounds of snow around my car. My car was unfortunately plowed in, the weather was terrible, and I am pregnant. Eric, who works the overnight front desk, saw me staring at the Impossible situation of having to dig my car out at 6am, while pregnant, In the middle of a blizzard. I did not even have to ask him when He immediately jumped in and asked if he could help me shovel out my car. I accepted the help and was surprised that he even offered to help me, during the rough weather. He dug out my car so quickly and made sure I was ok. I tried to tip him which he politely declined. I was so touched and impressed by the service that Eric had provided me, which he did not have to do, but did anyway, without hesitation. After he was done with my car, I noticed that he continued to ask other people who were struggling with their cars, and was helping them shovel! He went above and beyond what he had to do for his job. It's so hard to find kindness like this these days and I had to write this review for his service touched me. I will definitely look forward to staying here again. I highly recommend the stay and will recommend it to other workers as well. Thank you Eric for your service and kindness you had showed towards me during a rough blizzard morning. Eric went out of his way to help this pregnant woman in need. Eric definitely deserves employee of the month, a promotion, and whatever Holiday Inn Express can do to show appreciation to such an exceptional employee. Employees and services like his, are hard to come by, and are deeply appreciative by guests. Actions like his are what keeps guests coming back!! Keep up the good work Eric, your kindness and efforts do not go unnoticed, and I hope other guests see that as well. He deserves 5 stars!

  Due to the blizzard that happened 1/25/26, I stayed at this hotel to be able to get to work which is only a short distance away. I had the pleasure of having Eric at the front desk who was tremendously helpful. I have never had a front desk member at any hotel be so happy to help and be there for those of us staying here. This morning, 1/26/26, every single car was buried in waist-high snow. Myself and several of my colleagues, were struggling to get our cars out. Eric came outside and assisted in shoveling out several cars. My car was stuck in the snow, and after multiple efforts he decided he would have to push the car out of the snow. I was absolutely floored by the exceptional assistance that Eric OFFERED to us. We didn't even have to ask for help. Eric is amazing and deserves a raise, bonus, anything that would show the gratitude that we all have for him. THANK YOU ERIC, A MILLION TIMES! On another note, my room was clean and comfortable. I was happy with my stay.

  Front desk person was great...very efficient and answered any questions. Room was very clean but had a faint smell to it. Bathroom looked renovated. The hotel was under construction, but it didn't bother us really. Breakfast was pretty good. The location was easy to get to and there are a bunch of restaurants right across the street.

  Elevator had signs that it was broken but the reception said it was? Had a very strong odor of burning metal. One of us has mobility issues and they put us on 5th floor. Hotel was nearly empty. Seemed very sketchy. Also, had a room with connecting door and could hear every word the drunk and belligerent couple next door were saying. Again, hotel is mostly empty. Why put us in a room with little to no privacy.
