  My hotel experience was overall okay until I got accused of smoking in my hotel room and charged a 200 dollar smoking fee. Tried refuting it, they still took my money even though they have me on camera smoking outside in the designated gazebo. Will not be staying here again.

  II stayed 4 nights and my husband 6 nights. PROS: 1. The beds are sublime, the best bed I have slept on, better than my bed at home. They are Sealy Posturpedic, the mattress was softer than I was accustomed to, but it was like sleeping on a cloud, with large fluffy pillows and a warm comforter. I would come back for the beds alone! 2. If it matters, they put out cookies every evening at the front desk. It is a nice touch unless you avoid sugar. 3. Alll the desk clerks, day or nighttime, were very pleasant. 4. The room appeared to be very clean when we checked in. 5. There was plenty of hot water to take a shower. 6. There was a comfortable, high backed recliner in the room. CONS: 1.This hotel is very old and dated inside. The carpets are atrocious, tattered and threadbare, making the hallways and room interior look dingy annd dirty, along with the yellowish paint on the walls. The bathrooms are dingy, the bathtub was scarred and yellowed, and the wall cabinet was scarred and paint chipped. Not appealing at all. Would love to see new walk in showers. The interiors are just depressing. 2. There are no modern plugins for media devices like phones, tablets, laptops etc. Mostly an inconvenience but there are electrical outlets, just prepare to bring your own chargers. 3. The TV uses Roku, like we have at home, but all we received were error messages. Couldn’t get the TV channels working and there are no guides or instructions. We weren’t at the hotel much except bedtime and early morning so it was a nonissue. NOTE: They don’t provide daily housekeeping service. You have to request a “refresh” and there is only one tiny trash can in the bathroom. This is probably environmentally more sustainable just be aware if you are staying more than one night. 4. It is winter, and there was snow and ice. I had a real problem with ice on the ground, and felt the walkway to the parking lot was not shoveled or sanded. I saw some salt near the doors but wholly inadequate. We are seniors and it was treacherous walking to the parking lot. It was a hazard. 5. It is pricey for what you get. We were in Springfield visiting family so we spend minimal time at the hotel and didn’t use the kitchenette. The comfortable beds were worth it. But for an old blue collar small city, it is overpriced for the market in my estimation. But I think the hotel market here is overpriced in general. We got what we needed, hot showers and a good night’s sleep, relatively quiet.

  We had a very good stay here for one night. The room was beautiful and had a full kitchen with a nice bathroom. Very friendly service, and we got to use the pool as well!
