I stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton with my husband and child and overall it was a mixed experience. Unfortunately, there was no heat in our room during our stay due to boiler issues, and the hotel itself felt quite cold, which made our stay very uncomfortable. I did bring this to the hotel’s attention, especially since we are Hilton Honors members, and I am still awaiting a refund or resolution, which has been disappointing. On a positive note, the evening happy hour was a nice touch with free snacks, though drinks were complimentary only for non-alcoholic beverages, which was a bit misleading compared to expectations. The biggest bonus was the pool—it was absolutely beautiful and huge, definitely a highlight and great for families. That said, the breakfast was hands down the standout feature of our stay. It was excellent, well-stocked, and truly lived up to the Embassy Suites reputation. The breakfast alone made a strong impression and helped balance out some of the negatives. With better communication, faster resolution of issues, and improved comfort during colder months, this hotel has the potential to be much better as it was cold.

I am extremely disappointed with this stay, especially because this hotel has always been one of my favorites and a place my boyfriend and I return to often because of how much we usually love it. Unfortunately, this visit was completely unacceptable. Upon arrival, we parked in the back and found the side door locked. I was left standing outside in freezing January temperatures while my boyfriend had to walk about five minutes to find another entrance to let me in. This was already a terrible start. The first room we were given smelled strongly of swamp water mixed with bleach. The elevators smelled overwhelmingly fishy, which was very off-putting. Our room had no heat at all, which is unacceptable given that it is January, snowing, and winters in Massachusetts are brutal. To make matters worse, it was late at night (around 10:30 PM), and there were kids running up and down the second floor screaming, with the noise echoing upstairs. At 12:01 AM, the fire alarms went off and did not stop until 12:50 AM. Guests were forced outside or awake for nearly an hour — including people with newborns, elderly guests, and children with autism. The lack of urgency and inconvenience during this situation felt careless and extremely inconsiderate. The breakfast, which is usually something I enjoy here, was also very disappointing. The omelets were rubbery, the potatoes were extremely dry, and the sausage looked and tasted dehydrated. This stay was nothing like our previous experiences, which makes it even more frustrating. We expect far better from a hotel we’ve been loyal to. Sadly, this visit left us questioning whether we will return.

BEWARE!!! WATCH OUT FOR THIS SCAM!!!! I hardly ever post reviews but what a terrible weekend that was supposed to be a time of joy for my son’s bday. A day after checking out I was charged a $250 “smoking fee” for smoking in the room. I DON’T SMOKE!!!! I stayed with my young son for his bday and we spent minimal time in the room. There was absolutely no smoking done by us in that room (although read previous reviews, there is a stale smoke smell in the hotel). I was told there was “video evidence” from the maid of “ash by the kitchen”. Again, completely false and they refused to provide me with this so-called proof. The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional when I tried to speak about the situation. There is no ventilation in the rooms whatsoever so any smoking would be extremely noticeable by anyone staying nearby. I ended up filing a chargeback with me credit card and am still waiting for any resolution. I’m wondering how many other people this hotel has scammed with the same story. Also worth mentioning, there was hair in the bathroom and on the sheets, and our socks were super dirty after walking around the room. Beware!!

My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. When I arrived, I found poop stains on the underside of the toilet seat, which is completely unacceptable for any level of accommodation. On top of that, the heat in the unit wasn’t working, leaving the room cold and uncomfortable throughout my stay. For the price and expectations, basic cleanliness and functioning heat should not be issues. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it based on this experience.

This was absolutely the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. With the amount of money I paid, I was quite shook with the condition of my room & poor communication with management. Upon my arrival, as I was getting ready to go to bed, I found blood stains on the sheets and dried up boogers on the bed frame above. The phones weren’t working so my husband had to go downstairs late at night to request new bed sheets. They brought some up and we had to change the sheets ourselves. No follow up from management regarding the situation. I sent several messages thru the app & emailed the property/general manager and have not received a response of such. Highly disappointed. Do not recommend.
