Blue Water is a reasonable place to stay as long as you have the right expectations. The vibe is closer to a motel than a resort, and the place could use a deep clean. A huge plus was the beach, but other than that, we felt uninspired to take advantage of their heated pools and hot tub. Primarily because they did not seem particularly clean. With that in mind, employees were helpful, and they even gave us a late check-out. For reference, our friends said they’d stay again, but my partner and I told them we’d opt out and stay somewhere else next time.

Bel resort con vista sull'oceano. Abbiamo soggiornato a settembre, in un periodo di bassa stagione. Poco comodo lo spostamento con le valige. Ottimi hot dog!

Overall, I have ro say this was a terrible experience for the amount of money we paid. First, on top of paying a premium at this "resort," they also charge you $25 a day to park your car there, which is apparently buried somewhere in the fine print when you make the reservation (I couldn't find it anywhere in my reservation and was surprised when I received a text the day before we arrived notifying me of this). I could understand this fee if there were enough activities within walking distance or they provided transportation to places, but this is not an all-inclusive resort. Second, all the staff is always on their phone. When we went down to the beach, I actually had to get someone's attention because all three attendants were on their phone. And, surprisingly, when I texted staff for something I needed (a couple of extra pillows), my text was ignored and I had to go to the front desk. When I got to the front desk, the two people there told me I could have just texted and when I informed them that I did, they found my text and I was answered with "oh." You would also think that for $500+ a night and because they claim to be a resort, you would get standard room service every day, but no, you have to request it. When I found this out, I requested it the 2nd day we were there, but they didnt do it until the 3rd day, so we slept in sandy sheets for 2 nights (it is also impossible to not get sand all over here as the floors are tile and they dont come in and vacuum every day). The beach here isn't the greatest either. The sand is nice but the water contains a constant wall of seaweed, which is hard to get past if you dont like that. And finally, I actually had to argue with a staff member for an umbrella on the beach. She explained that we get one umbrella for every two people and we had three people in our party. I explained that one umbrella was not going to cover three people (and we are pretty pale). Not sure why I even had to have that argument for the amount of money we paid, but we did. I really felt like a bunch of teens woke up one morning and decided to run this "resort." There are other things that I could say, but think this is long enough . . . Just know there is even more than this!

Abruptly woken at 5:30 am by a wake-up call intended for another room, possibly next door. Since those guests then got up and started making noise, could not get back to sleep Breakfast was supposed to start at 7:30 per what the front desk told us when we'd checked in the night before. With nothing else to do we decided to go down for breakfast at 7:30. We were turned away!! Supposedly because there were several large tour groups they "wanted" to serve first. Told to come back at 8:30. We could not even get coffee! Never in my entire life and years of staying in hundreds of hotels have I been refused complementary breakfast. We tried the Keurig machine in our room. No luck -- it was broken. So we left and got breakfast elsewhere. Our one-night get-away choice of this hotel was a big mistake. What a crummy place and disappointing experience. Never going back.
