Worst hotel I've ever stayed at!!!!
The furniture and amenities were all cheap trash quality like they had picked them up from the local convenience store, it wouldn't let me connect to the wifi because it said I "wasn't in the system" despite being there for two nights, the plates and stuff that came with the room were dirty and smudged, and worst of all, the room smelled PUNGENTLY of cat piss. I have never been in a room that smelled more of cat piss. It was horrible.

So I waited to write this review simply because I was trying to let a negative situation become positive. However I think I waited almost 6 months with no resolution. So I was a traveler( Jan-April) and picked here to stay. Now Catherine was more than accommodating! She had a very welcoming spirit as well as some of the front desk workers. The staff was kind to me and made sure my stay was smooth. Now my complaint is against my check out process and the manager. I was informed that because I was staying 90 days/nights I would receive my taxes back. Well that was roughy $800 to receive back. Initially I was told that they would reimburse you as soon as you check out. Well that didn’t happen. I went about a month without receiving it and when I would call the manager was really never available. It took for Catherine to get him to contact me. He said that he would fix the problem . Well the problem never got fixed and he told me that they were “having trouble”. So another month or so passes by and I called for a follow up. Still no progress. The crazy thing is every-time I called he was never available and it always took me to talk to Catherine for him to be available. So we get to late July early August and I call again. Catherine is shocked that the situation is still going on. Allegedly they had to talk to the regional manager about just writing a check because they “did not know how to reimburse my card” so I gave them the address I was relocating to. And it’s October and I still have not received anything. So here is my complaint, the communication with management is horrible and every time I called customer service he created a note that said he would reach out. He has never reached out, in fact I had to be the one to call and I would be told he’ll call back. That never happened. You would think that a company tries to follow up with information but honestly it comes across as if they “stole” the money back. Simply because there is no way it takes almost the end of the year to reimburse when it takes seconds to charge. So yeah if you’re staying less than 90 nights it’s great! But anything over that. Please take your business elsewhere because you will end up in the same predicament as myself with a hotel manager that is very nonchalant, with a bit of an attitude, and “never available.”

Not the worst, but definitely recommend going somewhere else. I chose this location as it was the most affordable near Salem city center, and had a full suite, which was nice. We got in late, and the overnight employee was kind to us, and accommodating. The laundry service was a nice touch, there’s a gym, but it’s pretty small and very bare bones. The building and room smelled “off,” but we tried to look past that. But then there were a lot of inconveniences that I don’t want to have for the prices we paid, as it was still quite costly. The light in one of the rooms didn’t turn on, there was no soap for the bathroom sink, the dishwasher was completely detached from the cabinets, there were dried crusty bits on the closet door, the bathroom cabinet squeezed any time you bumped it, and the main tv remote only had one battery. I tried to call down to the front desk but the phone didn’t have a button to dial the front desk. I ended up calling them from my phone, and asked them to please bring batteries, and the guy at the front desk said he’d give em to me if I came to the front desk. We had just walked all day and were showered and cozy so none of us wanted to leave the room and walk that far (we were in the farthest room from the front desk). I instead took the batteries out of the other remote. The tv then only had a few options, like Netflix, YouTube, and Spotify and some other apps I’d never heard of before, so we ended up watching tv on my iPad because we wanted to watch something on a different app.

Very overpriced for very poor experience. There were people speaking loudly outside my room at a table set up by the hotel until 4 AM. Also there was a green blinking light on the ceiling that illuminated the room all night, not allowing for any darkness. When we asked them to remedy the situation, we were not offered any solutions or compromise.
