I had an extraordinary stay at the Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston because it represents the pinnacle of modern luxury in the historic Back Bay. Being located in the city's third-tallest building, I was immediately struck by the sleek glass architecture and the floor-to-ceiling windows that provide breathtaking panoramic views of the Charles River and the Boston skyline. The interior design is masterfully done, blending contemporary art with a sophisticated and warm atmosphere that makes the grand spaces feel remarkably intimate. I particularly enjoyed the wellness floor, which features a stunning curved indoor lap pool and a world-class spa that offers a perfect sanctuary from the bustling city below. Dining at the hotel is equally impressive, especially with the inclusion of the world-renowned Japanese restaurant Zuma, which brings a vibrant energy and exceptional cuisine to the property. Every interaction with the staff was characterized by the intuitive and personalized service that the brand is known for, making me feel completely taken care of throughout my visit. It is a spectacular destination for anyone looking for a cutting-edge luxury experience that feels both fresh and timeless in the heart of Boston.
Updates: After I emailed my concerns to Four Seasons One Dalton, Eva, front office manager, responded me right away with sincere apologies and offered me one night free for my stay. I definitely felt that Four Seasons are trying the best to make it up and put the best efforts out there for me as a customer. So, I changed my review based on the best responsiveness and efforts from Four Seasons to be fair. I think this makes a difference between high end hotels and typical 5 star hotels. My future choice of hotels in Boston would be Four Seasons One Dalton.
Original comments: My stay was not good, due to the various noises, as below. I stayed at room #1217, FYI. Loud noises from neighbor rooms, like talking, walking, jumping, barking (dogs) and plumbing. Plumbing noises were extreme and absolutely unbearable. I could hear the showers, faucets, toilets and so forth all night long. Loud noises from the corridors, like walking, running, talking over the phone, and barking again. Someone has talked over the phone in the corridor and at the elevator lobby a few times and it was very loud. As I mentioned, I could not sleep well, because of those noises. I felt like I was in the cardboard box room as I could hear almost everything outside. I cannot call it home away from home. I also would like to mention other comments which could be minor to someone, but not that small for me. Shade at the window of the shower / bathroom seemed very strange. It was a rolled shade with half transparency. So, I could see outside through it, as I could be seen from the outside. Because the room is facing a neighboring high rise hotel, there are multiple windows directly facing the shower / restroom. First, I thought there would be another layer of the shade to make it blackout, but that was not the case. I did not feel secure when I took showers and used the restroom during my stays. I think another layer of the shade would be much better. I found a coffee spoon was not cleaned well one morning. A coffee spoon had leftover dried coffee marks on it and I felt doubtful about the cleaning process. Well, I have stayed multiple four seasons all over the world, and the Four Seasons One Dalton room was the worst in terms of the noise insulation for sure. I hope that Four Seasons One Dalton can fix some of those issues and serve the customer better in the future.

Great hotel. We had 2 adjoining rooms , with one a corner suite. Fantastic views, gym, rooms and service was also good, especially the guys out the front. Probably the best gym on our 5 week trip which also included 5 four seasons hotels. The hotel had 2 restaurants downstairs , a Japanese and a more traditional restaurant, both good , but pricey without being great. The location was also good with plenty to see nearby. Highly recommended

I am on Day 4 of a 5 night stay, leaving tomorrow. I came to Boston for the Museum of Fine Arts and other amazing museums, along with the location in Back Bay near the Amtrak station. So, the location of Four Seasons One Dalton Street is really fantastic, and the building is very nice and relatively new. There is nice art throughout the building, although not at any stunning level, unlike some other Four Seasons and other top-tier hotels. For me, the service has been substandard for reasons that I cannot explain, including missing items in the Spa lounge and dysfunctional coffee machine there, along with items not working in the hotel room (like the bathtub drain, which took two attempts for them to fix). Simple requests like trying to have some cold breakfast items delivered to my room at 1 PM, somewhat later than typical, somehow were not understood, nor acted upon, and then, after discussion with assistant manager, Joshua, this was still not done the next day (today) at the time agreed upon (1 PM). Simple things like laundry are outrageously over-priced, such as $13 to wash one piece of underwear, whereas the cost to do this at Four Seasons Atlanta last week was $4. I get that Boston is more expensive, but not >300% more! I do not feel valued as a guest, and the service has fallen short of what I have experienced at other Four Seasons in Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Minneapolis, and several other American cities. I conveyed all of this to Joshua yesterday, but somehow things did not improve, hence this posting. I wish this hotel the best, but readers should be aware that something is not hitting at the service level at least for some guests. The manager (Ava) did call me this afternoon, and we discussed this at length. I hope that this feedback will be helpful to them too.
Update on day of departure: the management team did reach out and we settled this so that I left more satisfied with my stay. I really hope they will respond to this feedback and improve the overall experience.
