- MMMichael MillerJan 3, 20265.0We stayed at XV Beacon for New Years Eve. Our room was like staying at a Beacon Hill studio complete with fireplace and flawless accommodations. We were welcomed with a plate of fresh fruit and mini cakes and chocolates in the room. We watched the Boston Commons fireworks from the rooftop deck and were then served flutes of champagne and given party hats. Later we ate at Mooo which was superb and had one of our finest steak dinners. Later we went to celebrate NYE at a Boston hotel. Our entire stay was highlighted by your employee Myriam Jaber. From the reservation initially to checkout she provided the highest degree of warmth and caring for her valued guests. You have a tremendous asset with her at the front desk. Her experience shines through. As the prior owner of Ocean Edge Resort, you have a winning combination of a 5 star hotel accompanied by 5 star staff.

The furniture in our room was surprisingly worn. We weren’t sure that our fireplace was working correctly and had to follow up on getting it looked at. We waited 20 mins for our car from valet- it happens, but to avoid that when leaving early for our flight, asked for it to be ready for our 530AM departure. The message wasn’t relayed and the car wasn’t ready. The elevators were also out one morning. Some of these issues aren’t dealbreakers, but taken together they resulted in a stay that was not commensurate with our expectations or the price point.

The hotel aces all tests. Physical space, amenities, location, service and a fireplace in the rooms. Top shelf. We will be back.

The staff are the best…welcoming, helpful, and friendly across the board front desk, bellman, valet, housekeeping, car service, room service all top notch. The rooms have a European like feel, warm and cozy, ours had a fireplace. Location on Beacon Hill is perfect. We come into Boston often. This was our first time at the XV Beacon but will be our go to hotel in the future.
