Extremely disappointed. Purchased travel insurance. Packed bags to fly to Boston for my 10 year anniversary when my daughter ended up being critically ill. Had to cancel my trip hours before my flight to take my daughter to the hospital. The Godfrey hotel did not reimburse not one red cent. I will never recommend this hotel. Very poor business.

The Godfrey Hotel Boston exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and clean. The hospitality team went out of their way to deliver a kind note and treats with a bottle of wine which was very sweet and unexpected! We loved the easy access to the coffee shop and restaurant. The Bevi water system on our floor was amazing! Shoutout to Dren for helping us with our bags! We will be staying here again in the future!

We booked a superior king room. We were put on the second floor, which is at the level of the streetlights. You hear people talking on the sidewalk and every cat horn. The subway is literally passing under your feet. Our requests to move to a higher floor were refused. Do not stay in this hotel unless you like feeling like you are sleeping on the sidewalk or you have spoken to the front desk and confirmed your reservation is above the third floor. It was a miserable stay and the management were jerks about it.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Double room was lovely, clean and generally well appointed. The staff were friendly and service good. Also in a very convenient central location.
Only one gripe, but it was quite a major one to be honest.
Upon arrival we discovered that there is an additional $40 per night charge on top of what we had already paid for the room. We weren't made aware of this when booking so only discovered the extra cost at the point of checking in. This charge essentially covers prepaying for a variety or features/services that you might not elect to use given the choice. It covers things like dry cleaning and snacks (cookies/crisps etc) in the room. However there is no mini bar/fridge so it doesn't cover you for any drinks (be they soft or alcoholic) to go with said snacks and it doesn't even get you breakfast. To be honest this was a bit annoying, as our room was prepaid and we didn't expect to arrive to an additional $200 dollar payment (for a five night stay). We didn't use any dry cleaning services, are generally happy to not have fresh towels every single day (in the interests of being slightly more eco friendly) etc and therefore don't really think that this was good value for money for us. And it isn't optional. Just something to be aware of when you book.
The hotel was good overall and I would stay again - BUT I would factor in +$40 per night to the room charge, which might make equivalent alternative options more financially attractive...

The Godfrey is a lovely hotel with the most ideal location in all of Boston.
Amari treated us like royalty from the moment we checked in. White glove service is an understatement for how attentive and polite Amari was. He made sure our every need was met.
The rooms are clean, and well appointed, with many additional free amenities - water, toiletries,.etc. Not every room has a refrigerator, but the front desk will make sure you have one in room, if needed.
The Godfrey is right by the T station, the Freedom Trail, and a variety of great restaurants, and points of interest.
Definitely give this place a visit if you need a place to stay in Boston. You won't be disappointed.
