    My husband is a life diamond member. We stayed at this hotel two years ago and liked the location. This time, we have booked a 4 nights stay. We checked in last night, and was happy that we got upgraded to a suite. I don't care if there is no other service due to the renovation, but I was disappointed that our room even didn't get cleaned when we came back in the late afternoon. When we called for some coffee and two bottled water, we waited for more than an hour. On our way out in the evening, we told the front dest we needed a toothpaste and was told it would be sent to our room. When we came back more than two hours later and no toothpaste in the room, we called again. More than two hours later, nothing. So we called again. This time, it was quick. I don't think I would want to stay at this hotel again.

    A true "home away from home" for a new international student. As an international student newly arrived in the U.S., Hilton Boston Back Bay was my very first landing spot. I have been staying here for two weeks while navigating the difficult process of apartment hunting—which has been incredibly stressful due to my lack of U.S. credit history and language barriers. However, this hotel truly gave me a sense of "home" during this challenging transition. Even though my English is not perfect, every staff member I encountered was incredibly patient, friendly, and accommodating. Their kindness made a huge difference in my first few weeks in Boston. I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome!

    Arrived at the hotel at 7pm, just to be side-eyed by the receptionist, who did not seem happy, as I was dragging my two suitcases into the lobby alone. She did not greet me. The conversation started out with “Last name? Id?” Terrible. Absolutely terrible service. I’ve never felt so looked down upon as a Hilton honours member. I left the hotel immediately after asking for a full refund. Do not stay here ! Walk across to Sheraton or Westin.

    The location is excellent, which makes this stay all the more disappointing. We just completed a 12-night stay, and throughout it there were repeated issues with housekeeping and basic communication. Requests were sometimes acknowledged but not followed through on, and routine service was unreliable even when the “do not disturb” sign was off the door and instructions were clear. What was most troubling was the apparent lack of coordination and ownership. Front desk staff seemed disconnected from housekeeping, and responses often leaned toward excuses rather than solutions. I reached out directly to the General Manager with a detailed account of our experience and received no response. This did not feel like a one-off mistake but rather a pattern of inattention and poor leadership. The hotel has real potential and an excellent location, but at present that potential is not being realized under this management team.

    Have stayed before and it was fine. This last experience was not the greatest. The check in and check out process was not easy, tons of charges and fees and still had to call back to get things sorted. One of our rooms had an issue with the shower. There was construction on the floor above us making it loud and hard to relax. Room was clean but did not smell fresh when we first arrived. One perk is the location. Easy walk to lots of places!
