    I do not recommend this hotel whatsoever. I contacted IHG and specifically requested an early check-in. I received an email directly from the GM confirming that a room had been reserved for me — so I made my way to the hotel that morning, only to be told the email meant nothing, no rooms were ready, and I’d be placed on a waitlist behind other guests. I didn’t receive a call until 3:06 PM. Are you seriously telling me that from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM, there wasn’t a single clean room available for an early check-in — especially as a member? It felt very intentional. On top of that, when I reviewed my bill, I was charged $7 for drinks I never ordered or consumed. This was by far the worst Holiday Inn experience I’ve ever had. The customer service was absolutely terrible and I will not be returning.

    The room walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors quite well. Horrible location. Not much around within walking distance. We did cross the freeway to go to Subway for dinner, but when we arrived, we ate next door at The Red Cup Sports Bar & Grill which was pretty good. Staff isn't always around. Room was clean, but pretty basic.

    My call from the airport was answered by Amy. Amy was very professional and friendly. She gave me instructions on where to meet the driver for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. When I arrived she greeted me with a smile. She got me checked in and handed me the key to my room and I was on my way.

    Be careful if your flight is delayed, make sure to call them or they will give your room away with no notification, only a “Oh I’m sorry, we have no more rooms” not so easy to find another room on a Saturday night!

    We booked this hotel far in advance for the night before our cruise, and they cancelled our room at the absolute last minute because they overbooked themselves, leaving us stranded at the New Orleans airport. They refused to re-book us anywhere else. The lady on the phone was dismissive and unhelpful. Now we have to pay same-day prices at another hotel. I’ll certainly never book here again. Edit: Someone at the Holiday Inn is clearly lying, because the lady on the phone gave a different excuse than “we overbooked a volleyball team” as per below. It is industry standard practice to rebook the customer at another hotel when you’ve overbooked yourself. You essentially told us “not our problem, get lost” - which, of course, is the exact opposite of your job (it’s hospitality, since you’ve clearly forgotten).
