Hotels like this one are damaging the Hilton brand. The property is in serious need of renovation, and I’m clearly not the only guest who feels this way—many reviews mention the same issues. The carpets, walls, furniture, and overall décor are outdated and worn. To be clear, I had no issues with the staff; they were professional and courteous. The problem lies entirely with the condition of the hotel itself. Hilton should take action to address these problems or adjust the pricing accordingly. At over $150 per night, the current condition simply does not justify the cost.

Nice, clean rooms with comfy beds and the heat worked perfectly (a big plus on chilly nights). Staff was friendly and check-in/out was smooth. Breakfast was solid: hot waffles, good coffee, plenty of choices. Only real issue: the bathroom tub. Stained, visible mold in the corners, and both faucets were loose/broken. It definitely needs attention. Friendly people, good stay overall, but the tub situation keeps it at 3 stars until fixed.

The employees were very nice, but the room and the hotel were in very rough shape. There were several very dirty areas in the room. There was a tube of something under the sink that looked like it had been there a long time. I know it's not easily visible, but still. Also, the vent in the bathroom was dirty, and is easily accessible...no excuse for it not being clean. There were several weird big marks on the wall in the room. Not sure what that was. Old and very worn furniture.

Another disappointing visit... I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in hopes that the next stay will be better. It's just not so. The one positive thing I can say is that staff are friendly and helpful. Other than that, the place is a mess. There is a weird odor throughout the hotel, almost a sour, sulphur smell. My walls in my room had some sort of stains running down them. The seat part of the chair had a large rip/tear right in the middle of it. Why not just take the chair out of the room? The bedskirts were literally laying on the floor. It definitely doesnt make for a relaxing stay. I'm happy to see that there are two Hilton properties getting ready to open in Ruston. If they are open by the next time I come to Ruston, I will be staying there.
