The employees were very nice, but the room and the hotel were in very rough shape. There were several very dirty areas in the room. There was a tube of something under the sink that looked like it had been there a long time. I know it's not easily visible, but still. Also, the vent in the bathroom was dirty, and is easily accessible...no excuse for it not being clean. There were several weird big marks on the wall in the room. Not sure what that was. Old and very worn furniture.

Another disappointing visit... I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in hopes that the next stay will be better. It's just not so. The one positive thing I can say is that staff are friendly and helpful. Other than that, the place is a mess. There is a weird odor throughout the hotel, almost a sour, sulphur smell. My walls in my room had some sort of stains running down them. The seat part of the chair had a large rip/tear right in the middle of it. Why not just take the chair out of the room? The bedskirts were literally laying on the floor. It definitely doesnt make for a relaxing stay. I'm happy to see that there are two Hilton properties getting ready to open in Ruston. If they are open by the next time I come to Ruston, I will be staying there.

First off, if I could leave 0 stars I would. My family and I stayed here for 1 night back at the end of June. We checked in shortly after 8 on a long road trip and were looking forward to a decent night sleep then get back on the road again early the next day. Within 30 minutes of being there my kids and I started getting sore throat, coughing and sneezing repeatedly. At first we dismissed it thinking it was maybe an allergy. By midnight my husband woke me up saying he could hardly breath and we needed to get out of there. I rushed them out to the car and came back to grab our belongings as quickly as possible and that’s when I saw mold all over the chair, the floor behind it, and the wall. Then I went into the restroom and noticed mold all over the bathroom, big patches coming through the wallpaper, along the seems and all over the shower base and floor. It was horrible to say the least. Well my husband spent 10 days in ICU due to this black mold creating a mucus plug in his lung. I called the Hilton the next day so they knew what going on and hopefully save someone else from going through the same situation. They didn’t even call me back, but rather sent me an email 3 days later saying they’ve forwarded my complaint to the owner of this hotel and they should be reaching out to me to “make things right.” Well it’s been over 3 months now and as you can already guess they NEVER reached out. My husband almost died and didn’t even have the decency to give us our money back on the lousy hotel. My husband travels for work and often stayed with Hampton, but we will never give them a dime of our money again. I will shout this from the rooftops because it’s so disgusting, in considerate and just wrong on every level. Please for your own health and the heath of your loved ones do not stay at this hotel. If there’s black mold in 1 room then I’m sure it’s in other rooms there.

Needs new carpet/flooring throughout, breakfast was good, and location is great! If you’re just passing through for a quick sleep this place seemed safe and clean!
