Horrible stay would not recommend. The elevators have not been working for 3 days leading to guests using the stairs up to 15 floors. There has been no hot water for the last two days. Any time we ask for updates they just say “we’re working on it” but don’t offer any solutions or compensation. I feel like I am staying in a third world country with no working elevators, constant power outages, and no hot water. I wish I would have booked elsewhere.

BE CAREFUL! "Breakfast included” is misleading!!! Even with this option booked, the buffet comes with added gratuity (and possibly taxes) that are not disclosed on Booking.com. You only find out when a bill is dropped mid-meal!!!!! Moreover, even if you pay for buffet breakfast, they always show up a menu without mentioning that this is not the "breakfast included" buffet option and also without mentioning that this incurs additional charges. Some guests already reviewed this issue, this is why they couldn't scam us like this! They waived our fee after we complained, but other colleagues were charged brutally, which is unacceptable! I’ll change my score when this hotel learns to respect international hotel standards and stops misleading guests. This hotel is already one of the most expensive hotels in the city, which makes it almost funny that they’re willing to risk their reputation and reviews for a few extra dollars.

In dire need of a renovation. The lack of ventilation in bathrooms have taken it's toll, leaving the paintwork flaking enough it would not look out of place in a neglected student flat. I recognise that it is not uncommon these days for hotel rooms to have these automatic minifridges with sensors that detect when items are removed - what is less common however is for the casing of those minifridges to have been removes, exposing their internal electronics including the PSU tranformers. I would posit that if those sensors are never triggered, no member of staff feels any need to check the condition of that fridge. I am sure we were just unlocky to be the ones to find this obviously unsafe equipment, but it certainly raises questions that I would not be asking in a well-managed hotel.

The location of the InterContinental New Orleans is excellent—very convenient to the French Quarter and getting around the city. Unfortunately, the hotel itself did not feel like a true 4-star property. Our room was extremely dark and quite dated, with virtually no natural light, which made it feel tired rather than welcoming. The rooms also lacked adequate soundproofing, and we could clearly hear barking dogs and crying children, which affected our ability to rest. Housekeeping was inconsistent and did not replenish basic items like toilet paper, Kleenex, or soap once we ran out, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the front desk staff were genuinely kind and helpful, which we appreciated. We spent most of our time in the French Quarter and, in hindsight, should have gone with our instincts and chosen a more romantic, boutique-style hotel. Overall, the location carries this stay more than the accommodations or amenities, which did not meet 4-star expectations.

Upon Arrival, I was check in by a girl name Breonna. The experience was horrible. She was so rude, didn't explain any of the hotels amenities, just slammed our room keys and a piece of paper on the table and walked off. My partner had to ask another front desk host for directions to the elevator because Breonna didn’t even tell us where to go. Once in the room, we were so upset by the experience we decided to book another room at a Hyatt property. Immediately, we went downstairs and spoke with a male manager, explained our issues with check in and how it ruined our experience of wanting to stay at the hotel and requested a refund. He refused and told us he would upgrade the room but we didn't want an upgrade we wanted a refund. As a Gold member, I expected better treatment. I would never want to stay at a hotel I don't feel valued. We asked for the reservation to be cancelled, he never did and we were charged for one night. For the 10 mins we were there, 0/10 experience! Will not be recommending this hotel
