  Understaffed and little attention to detail. Room wasn't available until 5:45. When asked for a late checkout, they said no. Up charge of $45 for self parking. Waited 15 minutes to be seated at restaurant. Lady there was bothered by us asking if we could come in and be seated, although there were maybe 20 people being serviced at the time. Place has got potential, but seriously needs attention.

  Arriving at 3 PM, I was advised that check in is at 4 PM and this is for a Diamond Elite member of IHG loyalty program… I would suggest you don’t even considering booking this hotel if you want to have time to relax in your room.

  There is a strong fragrance used in common spaces, and the rooms did not appear as clean as expected. The hotel appears to have a noticeable transient presence in the surrounding area. This could be a great hotel but management needs to take a look at operations

  This was the first time in many years that I stayed at Holiday Inn, was really not my place of choice based on previous experiences and level of hotels. I think because this one is in downtown it is a bit of a higher standard. I was actually plesantly surprised by this Holiday Inn. Hotel is very well kept up, clean with very nice interior design. We stayed in room 1214. Bathrooms don't have a fan though and have sliding doors and only one set of towels per person, these things were not a big deal to us but it could be for others. Nice location about 4 blocks from Canal street. They have a restaurant for breakfast which is overall decent but pricey.

  Comfortable and clean rooms, friendly front desk staff. Breakfast could be very much improved though (at the Holiday Streetcar Restaurant). We used our points to get breakfast, and our breakfast cards said we were entitled to a buffet, so we allotted time for that. However, it’s a full service restaurant, and the wait is insane (make sure to allot well over an hour for breakfast). One day, we waited to be seated for 30 minutes and then gave up and left, forfeiting our breakfast. (Others in line ended up doing the same). That was frustrating, but since the food is quite greasy, we at least got to eat better elsewhere. I just don’t understand why it’s not a buffet—who on vacation wants to devote that much time to a (not great) breakfast?!
