I usually stay here about once a year as I come into New Orleans and then again as I head home. I choose it because it’s the closest hotel to the Amtrak station. This year on the way into New Orleans I stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites near the French Quarter for about $35 less than the Holiday Inn. Back to my review.
Pros:
The room was clean.
The breakfast was good.
The TV worked.
Cons:
Smallest hotel room I’ve ever been in.
My view out of the small window was a brick wall.
The floor sloped downhill.
The fridge door won’t close.
Big metal doors clanged in the hallway all night.
The carpet really needs a steam cleaning.
The flooring to the bathroom is uneven.
There’s no light in the shower, so I showered in the dark. Also, i’ve never stayed in a room here that had a bathtub. So, I have to assume all of them just have showers.
Honestly, next time through I’ll head back to the Hampton Inn and Suites.

Initially my reservation wasn't found because I had booked my room from a "third party site", which cause the check-in process to be delayed about an hour. The front desk CSR, Aladin, did a fantastic job helping us! Kudos to Him 👏🏼 because although the lobby was full of people needing His assistance, He remained calm, pleasant and helpful! He was EXCEPTIONAL! Our room was a bit of a surprise, seeing that it was "bunk-bed" style however, incredibly clean and comfortable! For a "3-star hotel" it was above my expectations, in a good way! Dove hygiene products are given, bed was super comfy (although on the smaller side), and room smelled clean! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place! Aladdin should be awarded for His commitment of excellent service! 🎉

Solid for the price. My only complaint was there were ants in my bathroom that got all in my toiletry bag and the heat from the windows melted by skin care products. Free breakfast is super basic but the potatoes were good. Staff was really nice and friendly

I had the pleasure of meeting Mariah (not sure if I spelled it correctly) who helped us with the check-in process. She is professional, proficient, gave good recommendations, and also answered a few of my other questions patiently. The guy who was cleaning duty that day, 11/05/2025 around 2 PM, is also very polite. He even walked us to show where the restroom is located instead of just giving the directions verbally. I'm leaving a 5-star review due to superb service.
PS. I read some comments about expensive parking. You need to park in front so they can process your car before you park in the back. We only paid $4 for parking.
Will definitely book here again. Kudos! 👌

Don’t waste your time here, hotel rooms were small and mediocre for the pricing. The blinds were broken, one was missing and had a temporary tarp on one. There was zero hot water in the morning, (9:45). They don’t own any parking so on top of paying $300 plus a night you get to pay an additional $55 to park and the city of Nola will more than likely boot your car because “they didn’t see it in the system” and make you pay another $150 to get it released. I definitely recommend a different hotel than this one.
