  If the manager had followed up this would have been a much higher review.: Location is great and has a decent breakfast. Room was ok for what we needed. The city turned off the water for the hotel, I’m which we were notified the day prior by letter under our door. (We got back later in the evening) The hotel has no control over this, but how they handle customers they do have some control. We got this notice late at night after being gone all day. At this time we couldn’t take a shower to plan for the water shut off the next morning. There was no hot water! Called the desk, no answer. Walked down to ask- rude clerk on her phone and wouldn’t answer why the hot water was off 12 hrs before the time on the letter noted. The hotel could have provided a bottle of water to brush teeth and wash hands, they did nothing. We felt pretty gross (not sure how employees were washing their hands?). Spoke to the manager in the morning, felt satisfied with his resolution, except he didn’t follow through on his promise. Couldn’t get ahold of any managers by phone for a week. Every time I called “manager stepped out” was the answer I got. Best Western sent a link to fill out a survey about the visit. I was honest in my review. A week later when I finally spoke to the Manager out my bill he said “I read the review you left, it was harsh”. I was appalled. He knew he failed in the follow through, he just said he read my review, yet didn’t fix it then. To think I would leave a glowing review or be bothered that I didn’t leave a good review was ridiculous. Hopefully my bill is fixed (he claimed it was yesterday). Do better Best Western. No one wants to go site seeing when you can’t shower or brush your teeth or wash your hands. Pretty gross I am not normally a scorch and burn reviews but this one earned it.

  Prefect location, quick walk to the Quarter. We were happy to see Grits available for breakfast, if only we could get it off the spoon and into a bowl. On the bright side, good coffee, juice variety and a Pancake maker! Downside is a $50 charge for late checkout! What! To add to that, the commode decided not to refill, maintenance came up while we went down for coffee and left drips of water from the bathroom to the door (tile floor...) Really could have used a late checkout but, we made it just in time.

  Great location! Within walking distance to Bourbon St & French Market. No gym onsite, but they do have access to one you can use within walking distance for a small fee in addition to an offsite parking space about 2 blocks away at $45 a night. I got a rental car, and barely used it. Next time I'll use a Lyft and or take the trolli.

  Great location that is safe and has super friendly/helpful staff. This is perfect if you’re not planning to spend much time in the room since they are a bit small. It was great for a solo trip exploring the city.

  Everything I wanted out of my NOLA stay. Staff very polite and helpful, easy access to transportation (front desk can call taxi for you, 1 block from trolley) amazing location (1 block from bustling French quarter) convenience store like 100 feet from front door, awesome cafe like 1 block away, comfy bed, good water pressure, marked down 1 star because blackout curtains left 20% of the light and we also had a fair amount of light/sound come from the bottom of the door that we ended up blocking out with a towel but not a huge deal. We had a room facing the Sazarac which we wouldn't have noticed otherwise but ended up touring and doing tastings at for free which was cool. Would absolutely stay at again.
