  I’d avoid this hotel—and maybe even New Iberia if you have other options. I got there around 10:15 pm and the front doors were already locked, with a sign saying they lock at 10:00 pm. That’s strange for a hotel. There was also a man sitting by the entrance who appeared homeless and was talking incoherently. I only got inside because another guest was leaving. Once in the lobby, there was a smell of marijuana. The staff didn’t seem welcoming, and two of the three people at the front desk didn’t know what they were doing. After checking in, I went up to the third floor, which had a strong mold smell, and unfortunately my room smelled the same way. The hot water in the shower was only lukewarm at best. The next morning, I took the south stairwell to leave. There was trash on the ground floor, and the exit door was being held open with a boot. It looked like someone might have been staying in the stairwell. When I mentioned it to the staff, they just laughed and said, “that’s what that boot was doing on the sidewalk out there.”

  I slept well but the bathroom was not very clean, the TV did not work, and there was no hot water in either room we booked. As an fyi for future travelers, I was told at the desk that Expedia was not working for payment and I needed to book at their walk-in rate therefore we had to pay more. Expedia did refund my money but this felt like a bit of a bait and switch. Very kind front desk woman refunded our taxes and took $20 off bill in the morning at check out.

  The room had an odor. There was NO shade or curtain to cover window. Only had shear panels. They also charged a $25 incidental fee upon checking in, we had no notice prior. Which after 12 days still has not been returned to my bank. We book on a website the week before our visit. Once a year we go to my girlfriend's home for a large gathering of family and friends. And because it's a 2 hour drive each way we decided to stay the night and not drive back after partying 🙃 Next time we will not stay here!

  There is no hot water!! You ask for a bed and a hot shower and you get the cheapest possible cot and when you turn the “hot” water on, it dribbles out so slowly it’s impossible to shower with. A nice little money saving operation by the corporate hotel. Go elsewhere down the road for cheaper AND you can actually shower. HORRIBLE.
