It was clean, comfortable and priced right for the two nights we recently spent there. Service was customer oriented (as it should be). The first room we were given smelled like dog so we asked for another room. It was assigned to us without any drama. The night desk person came on as we checked in and asked how our holidays had been and what was our favorite gift we had gotten. Very personable. Breakfast is always a plus when we stay at a hotel. This one includes waffles, fresh fruit (bananas, apples and oranges), pork sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy (although the gravy was a bit thin or runny for our taste), cereal (hot and cold), juices, milk, coffee (regular and decaf), yogurt, cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, jelly and more. The interior lobby was attractive, indoor pool, business center, work out gym and 2 elevators for the 4 floors. I will give this hotel 5 stars even though we had to ask for a different room. Because of their quick resolve without hesitation they get that extra star from me. I will reserve again when in Lake Charles, La.

Hotel was nice but one of our rooms smelled of a common "plant" and the breakfast was not that great at all. The waffles tasted weird and the eggs too. Sausage was the most decent thing. They don't have yogurts, cereal and things like this. I will say for last minute it was good enough for us. Rooms were fine too too. Also there was Santa it the lobby while checking out and that made our girl's day! The staff was really great.
