I had my wedding here in April 2025. The entire experience was incredible. Madison so so helpful with the planning process and made everything go so smoothly to ensure I had my dream wedding. The 10th floor ballroom is the perfect place for a reception, the food was exquisite, the employees so kind, the vibes were amazing. I was able to have plenty of rooms for our out of town guests with a room block, my husband and I received a complementary room, all so cozy and perfect. I highly recommend the Hilton Downtown BR for a wedding, business trip, convention, etc. Everyone here went above and beyond to make our day so special. Thank you for everything!!!!

Rooms are solid. Pretty quiet. Staff is solid. Bar is good, food is decent. Wish the gym was nicer with better machines or a cable stack or two. Overall it's a nice property. Valet only parking. They do a good job, but can be a back up. Plan accordingly. Will be back.

Save yourself the heartache and humiliation. Do not book this hotel for your wedding. My experience with the Hilton Capitol Center on October 25, 2025 was extremely disappointing and filled with issues that the hotel has refused to take responsibility for.
My husband was denied check in because his name was missing from our reservation even though we spent more than ten thousand dollars and traveled from out of state with all of our wedding supplies. After a long day of travel, being turned away from our own room caused unnecessary stress and confusion. The night auditor later admitted it was an oversight, but the damage was already done.
The food was another major issue. We completed two tastings to make sure everything would be perfect, yet the food served at the wedding was nothing like what we tasted. It was unpleasant, low quality, and many guests were dissatisfied. After investing time and money into tastings, this was extremely disappointing.
There were also serious problems with how we were told our outside cultural food would be handled. We were assured that serving dishes would be provided so we could honor my husband’s Nigerian culture. Instead, on the day of the wedding we were suddenly told it would be placed in another room and treated as self service because they labeled it a favor without telling us. This was never discussed or agreed to and it disrupted our plans and confused our guests.
The hotel ended our reception 2 hours early. Without any proper communication or courtesy, they ended the celebration early which left guests upset and confused and took away time from an event we paid a significant amount of money for.
To make matters worse, staff members were unprofessional during the event and even got into it with some of our guests. This behavior is unacceptable for any establishment but especially for a venue that hosts weddings.
The lack of communication after the wedding was equally unacceptable. The hotel took more than a week to respond to my email and only replied after I followed up. Their response did not show any real concern or accountability. They said they did the best they could and offered only two hundred three dollars to cover a bartender fee. That offer does not begin to address the issues we experienced.
For a major brand like Hilton, this level of service, professionalism, and accountability is shocking. Our wedding day was negatively impacted in ways that should never happen at a hotel of this level.
I cannot recommend this venue to any bride or groom. Our experience was full of mistakes, poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and a complete lack of responsibility from the hotel

The best beds we've been in at any high end hotel. Great breakfast from room service also. Definitely better than other Hilton locations we've been at.

We were here for our Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity conference and these folks did an excellent job. The front desk service was top notch and the facility is nice. There is a good workout facility and there's a nice view right behind the hotel. Multiple parking lots within the area and some really good restaurants within waIking distance. I highly recommend this hotel and I would stay here again in the future.
