    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars! I stopped by Candlewood Suites in Avondale, Louisiana while in town for a 6-week work assignment, and from the moment I walked in, I was blown away. April greeted me with such warmth and immediately offered to give me a tour. She showed me a stunning, spacious suite—plenty of room to unwind after a 10-hour workday. It truly felt like a home away from home. And get this… the hotel has a gym with up-to-date fitness equipment and a laundry facility with 2 washers and 4 dryers that are completely FREE. Yes, free! That alone is a game changer for anyone staying long-term. A huge thank-you as well to Sarah. She and April made me feel right at home this morning when they greeted me by name and asked how my stay was going. People like April and Sarah are the reason a good stay becomes a great one—their friendliness and genuine smiles make all the difference. Whether you’re in the Avondale or New Orleans area for one night or one month, I highly recommend Candlewood Suites. This place is just right. - Michael Fitzgerald

    Book your stay here. Sarah at the front desk was the most helpful person! Not only did she save us with a last minute booking (don’t book next door), she personally gave us suggestions for places to go/eat. Also as a young female I really appreciated her safety tips. Sarah genuinely made our experience here. Will be back!

    I originally was going to give this hotel a 4-4.5 star. My husband (who’s a platinum member with this hotel chain), and I were very impressed with the room and the check in process with the front clerk, Jessica. Jessica was really friendly and welcoming. However, when we got in the room had this old diner and old food smell in it. We also had issue swapping the thermostat to cooler temperature. It was on heat and no matter what we did we couldn’t get it to swap over. So the room itself was clean, but hot and smelly. Not the end all but knocked it down a star. Now the day shift attitude issues. Before my husband left to golf, he told the night and morning hotel front desk person that we would be doing a late check out. (My misunderstanding was 3, in actuality it was 2). Before noon the maid came in to clean the room and admitted fault for not paying attention to her list and the don’t disturb sign. I told her no worries, but we have a late check out that I believe is at 3. She apologized and I thought that was that. 12:30ish comes around the maid comes back and says that late check out isn’t at 3, but 1. I put on my shoes and as I was walking out, the maid and front desk clerk were yelling at each other about our room. I went to talk to the front desk manager, Sarah T (I’ll leave last name blank), and she had one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever encountered for a service management position. She was snarky and aggressive. When I told her that my husband talked to multiple staff about late check out, she said the latest was 2. I told her no problem, I must have misunderstood my husband about 3, but will be out by 2. I returned to my room and finished packing up. I was locked out of my room and side door to the building. At this point, I was very aggravated about the whole situation. I returned to the front desk to get my key reactivated and Sarah said it automatically does it at noon that she didn’t do it on purpose. Awesome- so if she knew this was going to happen- why didn’t she bother telling me when I came to talk to her about late checkout? The whole situation and her attitude ruined how I felt about my stay at this location and knocked it down another star. Hey Sarah, learn some manners and common courtesy if you’re going to take a management role! Hope you have a great day lady…. And bless your staffs’ heart for having to work with a sour cup of tea that you are.
