  Rooms are good, house keeping only when asked for (normal), couldn't print from the office center computer. Best thing was the staff, they were very friendly and professional

  Well here we go, arrived at Candlewwod Suites on a Tuesday afternoon and went to room opened door to find out it was a room occupied? Thank God the tenant was not in there as I saw a knife in a sheath on the table. Imagine the outcome if the tenant was in the room! I immediately went to lobby to let.them know and get another room. The incident was rectified and apology was accepted. I stayed at IHG hotels exclusively for business 240 days a year for 2 years straight which leads me to the 2nd incident. I was at Candlewood suites for 8 days and not once during that week's stay was the room cleaned nor dirty towels changed. The trash was piled in both trash cans? Are the guest required to take out the trash? These are common accommodations expected and should not be a part of a guests responsibilities. Needless to say it was a factor for me to consider staying here on my next two up coming nine day business trips back to Alexandria. I do appreciate both two incidents were apologized and rewarded with point comps but it is not the end goal of my complaints. All I'm saying is Accommodations are are part of the guests experience and customer service.

  We got to Alexandria at 3:30am on December 26 due to a family emergency and stopped here to ask if we can book a room under the circumstances despite it being 3 am. The lady at the front desk worked with us quickly to get us two rooms next to each other. The rooms were beautiful and exactly as pictured in the website; filled with two large beds, a refrigerator and freezer, microwave and stove top, dressers, etc. Our emergency extended into the following day at the hospital; and we knew we would need to stay again. The front desk automatically extended our stays without asking us "in case" we needed an extra day; and that we can figure out the financial side of it later. Great rooms; greater staff; we will definitely be back from now on for our monthly trips to Alexandria. We GREATLY appreciate how considerate and compassionate the workers were through this tough situation.

  What's the point of having wifi in your hotel if half the rooms can barely even use it?! Low bars and it randomly disconnects for minutes at a time. I can't reconnect for more than five minutes at a time when it happens and that's being generous!

  Front Desk Evening staff is beyond outstanding!!! Exceptional!!! So totally sweet!!! Best EVER!!!
