Avoid a room facing the highway otherwise its very loud, and some of the top floor rooms had mold growing on the bathroom celling along with dirty carpets. It could use a deep cleaning! The staff and management were very friendly and accommodating through.

- MMMattOct 20, 20254.0We stayed at 3 different Holiday Inn Express hotels on a recent 2-week Fall vacation to Kentucky/West Virginia. While this one was okay, nothing stood out as exceptional, except that our room had a very strong carpet shampoo/cleanser smell when we arrived that never dissipated during our 2-night stay. Not sure what was used in the room to make it so strong, but it was powerful. Only one other room in the 7 hotels we stayed in on this trip had a strong smell, but this was by far the strongest. The fact that you have to drive behind a shopping center to get to the hotel is strange. You are literally routed behind the center where the loading docks and trash bins are. While that did not impact our stay, it is weird, particularly as we were arriving at night. Overall, the stay was fine, but average.
