We were scheduled to visit her this Saturday 11/1/25, but both she and we ending up becoming ill and had to cancel the reservation. It was upon cancelling that I discovered I had accidentally booked a non-refundable rate through the IHG website, although every other stay at this hotel had been booked with a refundable rate. I called both the hotel manager and IHG corporate to ask for a one time accommodation and either have my money refunded or be given a complimentary one night stay, as we would be coming to the area several times a year for the next several years. Corporate told me it was up to the manager to make that decision. When speaking with the manager, she told me that they cannot go against corporate policy or it will affect their audit numbers, so they would not give me a refund or complimentary stay. So to be clear, management only cares about their audit numbers and not their past or future guests, and corporate refuses to do anything to assist. To be so short sighted as to not make accommodations for a one time error in exchange for giving up dozens of future visits to their hotel does not say much about this organization or the location's management. Edited after management response: This response confirms my review. Hotel policy is more important than accommodating a loyal guest who would have given much more future business to the hotel than they would have lost by making a one time accommodation for an error. Anyone considering staying here please note that there are businesses who appreciate customer loyalty. This is not one of them.
