  I had a great encounter with the lady at the desk, her name was Amanda. She answered every question I had. She was very kind and professional.

  We came up for a show at the Bluegrass Hall of Fame and museum. The breakfast, and an overnight stay drew us in so we booked it. We were pleasantly surprised at arrival, it’s a beautiful hotel with some whimsical decorating (you’ll have to see the egg wall and the silver trees). The view of the river, is definitely worth enjoying over a warm cup of coffee. I actually took a few videos watching the barges at breakfast—but here’s one from another spot about one mile down the road. Now imagine, you’ve piled your plate high with delicious food (yes! Even French Toast), and a sweet lady named Kaitlyn checks on you as you’re sipping coffee or having bites. “Everything delicious?” YES! “More coffee?” YES! It’s rare you get to treat yourself, but rarer still that others want to support that effort. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks, Kaitlyn and Holiday Inn Owensboro!

  All it takes is one. I had booked a conference room for a staff meeting on the 21st of January. The experience went well and I had no issues minus getting my receipt. I had it sent to my work email but it looks like it had got caught as "phishing" and I couldn't get it to release right away. No big deal, as I figured I could just call the hotel and have them send it to my personal email. I called and gave my name and explained I had booked a conference and the date but the receptionist up front kept saying she couldn't find me. She then asks me if it was a room stay. I responded that no, it was a meeting and we rented a conference room for the day. She then said she couldn't do anything about that and could get me over to her sales managers email and that she'd return my call sometime in the coming week. I asked if the sales manager would be there tomorrow and the receptionist answered "I dont know, I cant speak for her." I then asked if someone from sales would be there tomorrow (monday) as I simply just needed a receipt and the receptionist answered "I assume so." Yeah, needless to say, we won't be back. Its unfortunate as they gave a very competitive price and the staff during our meeting was extremely friendly and accommodating. We planned to be back 5 more times this year for meetings and I planned on staying overnight(s) while in town, as one of my offices is located there.
