    If you expect to come here and sleep, you're better off pulling up on the side of the road and taking a nap in your car. The doors are so heavy and shut to quickly that it's a hazard. But not only that, every time a guest on your floor leaves the room, their door will shut so hard it will feel like a slam and it'll wake you up. On top of that, it seems the local dump of people come and hang out to play pool til like 3am. Is that normal?? Is there no other trashy bar in Louisville people can go let out their demons at? This is a hotel. By default I should be able to sleep. It feels more like a motel 6 tbh

    Considering the pricing, my disappointment increased at this location. Now that I’ve stayed at a Spark hotel, this Tru location is dingier than a Spark. I’m not sure what prompted including a pancake station instead of a waffle iron, but I’ve only encountered 2 locations in the US where the pancake station was actually working. The parking lot was so full I had to park by another hotel, which is not ideal when I’m trying to get to my room after a 14hour day and being in 30degree weather. The check in staff at night was not rude but not very welcoming. The daytime shift next day was friendlier. I did not get their name but the person cleaning/setting up breakfast this morning was very nice and helpful. Also a note for Hilton HQ (not the location): Tru is the only hotel where I can trust to wash my hair. The shampoo/conditioner at other Hilton brands are commonly left empty or broken, much like my hair afterwards. When this happens the damp, unwashed hair leaves me feeling robbed of time and comfort.

    1/5/26 After many months I was able to finally find someone at corporate that was very kind and helpful. While she was helping me she informed me of the notes that this hotels manager, Mark, put into the file saying that the owner would not do a refund because of the type that it was and it makes them look bad. She said they should be doing it since they got the money and had no one stayed for those nights. This hotel employs a manager that doesn’t follow up on his word and its owned by someone allowing this. 12/18/25 The manager Mark is a liar just like the rest of the company. Said he would do our return. Said he sent it to the owner. Said he would call us back. He has yet to call us back once. Somehow he is never at work anymore when we call. 12/9/25 update. Corporate told us that it’s in the hands of the hotel to do the refund. Still waiting for that to happen after calling many times. November 2025: Promised to be able to use a $1200 credit within a year and was lied to. Corporate won’t give us the time of day to solve this issue they just keep playing games about who is going to call etc. New manager of this location says he’d help us but hasn’t gotten back to us either. Avoid this entire hotel chain like the plague. They do not care about the hard working people that stay at their hotels one bit.
