Very disappointed in the receptionist. I called to get a clarification on the after charge. She was not understanding what i was saying. I had a hard time understanding her due to being also deaf. i asked if there was a way for her to send an email of an itemized statement. Then she hung up on me.

Posting a bit late, as my stay was in September, but I wanted to share my experience at the Holiday Inn. Overall, the room itself was decent — clean and comfortable for the limited time we spent there. The pool looked nice, though unfortunately the heat had been turned off by the time we made it down (about 30 minutes before closing). The location was convenient, just a 15-minute drive to the Fairgrounds for the event I was attending. That said, the service — with one major exception — was consistently poor. Molly, who helped us multiple times despite being off the clock, was the only staff member who seemed capable and genuinely helpful. Everyone else we interacted with left us frustrated and confused. - When we called to ask about the shuttle service, the person who answered was nearly impossible to understand and couldn’t answer a basic question about its destination. - At check-in, the receptionist couldn’t locate our reservation despite having all the necessary details. Molly (who had already clocked out) had to come back to assist — and found it immediately. The same receptionist then forgot to give us room cards and couldn’t figure out how to add them, requiring Molly’s help again. - The next morning, we asked another staff member about the shuttle to the Fairgrounds. They vaguely said it travels 4–5 miles but wouldn’t confirm whether it could take us there. We looked it up ourselves and saw it was a 12-mile drive — so likely not. - The worst part: our room cards stopped working two nights in a row. We weren’t the only ones — we saw other guests having the same issue. Molly again stepped in and explained that the original receptionist had only activated our cards for one night instead of four, and then repeated the mistake the next day. After that, we avoided further staff interaction and things went more smoothly. If not for Molly, this review would be even lower. She was the only bright spot in an otherwise frustrating stay.

As an occasional patron, I enjoy their facility. It is spacious, has various event-related rooms, has a pool, and the hotel rooms, themselves, are regularly clean and welcoming. Staff are regularly friendly and professional. I am happy to come here anytime. As a sidenote, there are various restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. For anyone that means to stay close to the interstate for fast traveling, it is an excellent place to consider.

We stay exclusively at IHG hotels and are diamond elite members. The young man working the hotel counter last night 10/26 is a 10 out of 10. Very sweet and accommodating. The rest of the hotel is a moldy mess. There was mold in the cheese topping for the eggs in the “restaurant” the sliced vegetables for eggs had been out so long that it was petrified. It is just a continental breakfast not a restaurant anyway. Not open at all neither was the bar. The walls were covered in mold and there was pesticide around the food.

October 2025: This hotel is undergoing a renovation. The exterior areas are dated, it looks like frozen in time in the 70s-80s. The interior of the rooms is much better. The blinds were old, the sofa chair had stains. The thermostat in the room did not work, I was cold at night with the AC keeping the room at 68 Deg. Fahrenheit. General carpeted areas were stained. The long corridor and decor reminded me of "The Shinning", I was waiting to see a red ball coming at me from the end of the corridor and the twin girls telling me to avoid the "Red Room".... I would probably not stay here again until the renovation is completed. On the good side, the bar was crowded at night and very lively. The front desk staff acknowledged my IHG status and gave me a welcoming kit (slippers, cookie, bottle of water, and mints). The fridge worked well.
