In morning we found that Bathroom hot water was not work and sink was clogged. Front desk offered another room after waiting for their maintenance however by that time we were getting late for our cave tour.

While taking a shower I had the joy of standing in ankle deep water as the drain was pretty clogged. The shower head was held on but what appears to be hot glue. Had light bleeding through the door all night. Beds were rock hard. The customer service was good. I am just mad I wasted my reward points on this stay.

The room was on the 3rd floor, spotless and fresh. The bathroom was recently remodeled and spotless. I saw no evidence of poor maintenance. The shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. The only minor gripe I have is that there was a fan in the bathroom that rattled constantly. I had to close the bathroom door to keep the noise down. This is a pet friendly hotel with plenty of grass areas to walk your dog. I had my two dogs with me and they enjoyed the outdoors areas for their potty needs and regular walks. The bed was comfortable, the TV worked well, the heat/AC was working perfectly, and the Wifi was very fast. The free breakfast at this hotel was better than fare I've had at some very expensive hotels. There were hot cinnamon rolls, delicious cheese omelets, fresh biscuits, pork and turkey sausages, fresh muffins, yogurts, cereals, and oatmeal. What really won me over was the coffee machines. The machines grind the beans and brew the coffee before your eyes. This is the first decent hotel coffee I have ever had that didn't come from a Starbucks in the hotel. In short, for an inexpensive hotel, this one was top notch from my standpoint. There is a nasty construction site in front of the hotel but they don't start up until after 8am and shut down before dark. Noise was not an issue. The four Tesla Destination chargers in front of the hotel were also a great convenience. This hotel lives up to the IHG standards and I heartily recommended it if you are visiting Mammoth Cave or just passing through the area.
