  I stayed here a few weeks ago and I promise you that I would rather stay at in a roach infested house. Let me tell you about this absolute disaster of a hotel. From the moment we dared to darken their doorstep, it was clear we'd made a colossal mistake. The owner, a man who looked like he hadn't cracked a smile since the invention of sliced bread, greeted us with all the enthusiasm of a tax auditor. Check-in felt like an interrogation, and the "welcome" was so icy I think I saw my breath. Then there were the rooms. "Dirty" doesn't even begin to cover it. It looked like the cleaning staff had simply waved a dirty rag in the general direction of the surfaces. Dust bunnies the size of small rodents lurked in the corners, and there was a suspicious stain on the carpet that I actively avoided making eye contact with. The bathroom? Let's just say I've seen cleaner gas station restrooms. And the staff? Oh, the staff. They seemed to have been specifically chosen for their complete lack of customer service skills. Asking for anything felt like pulling teeth, and their general demeanor ranged from indifferent to openly hostile. It was as if we were intruding on their very important business of... well, I'm not entirely sure what their business was, because it certainly wasn't making guests feel even remotely comfortable. Honestly, this place felt less like a hotel and more like a poorly maintained detention center. Save yourself the agony and sleep in your car. You'll probably have a more pleasant and hygienic experience. Avoid this place like the plague. You've been warned.

  The hotel was okay. It was older and I expected that from the pictures on Booking.com. The main areas were pretty clean and well kept. The breakfast was really good. The beds were comfortable enough. I do think the sheets were clean because they smelled fresh (duvets a different story). I will say that our room was not super clean. There was a fork under the desk from a previous guest. There were weird stains on both of the duvets. The bathroom had not been swept. There was dirt from what was probably boots in the bathroom. Also the sink was cracked so that was weird. The only two things I care about for a hotel is that it is 1. Clean and 2. Safe. The main lobby was actually really clean and nice. The breakfast area was spotless. The room, however, was not clean which gave me the creeps. As far as safety, it seemed okay. Not a lot of weird people hanging around like at the red roof inn but I was also only there one night.

  Very clean hotel. Well trained, friendly staff. Has a heated, salt water pool. Reasonable rates. Enjoyed the free breakfast with waffles.
