    I stayed for a week. No one touched the gym. It was so dirty. Dead bugs on the floor. Window sills not touched. Dirty!! Never felt so gross working out

    The best parts of our stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Bardstown were how clean the hotel was and how kind and professional the manager, Davin, was — truly top-notch. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was pretty stressful. We were told twice by different people that we had to move rooms, only to find out later that we didn’t — a big source of unnecessary stress. The breakfast was disappointing; the gravy tasted watered down. The hotel was also full of pets, and every morning the lobby (and breakfast area) was taken over by them — not exactly pleasant when you’re trying to eat. Our floor’s housekeeper did a great job keeping things clean, but another staff member actually walked into our room even with the Do Not Disturb sign up, which was completely unacceptable. Overall, while the manager and cleanliness were excellent, the rest of the stay fell short and left a bad impression.

    This was the worst IHG property I have ever stayed in. In the first room we had the HVAC system malfunctioned. We were given another room. The second room's telephone did not work. It forced us to get dressed to speak with the front desk people 3 different times during the evening. There was no information TV channel guide. and we stayed in to specifically watch a live telecast playoff game. The front desk worker told me I was the 5th person that day to complain about this. He had no knowledge of channels. Lastly, at midnight as we got ready to sleep we discovered the room darkening shade was broke and did not come down to block out the bright lights of the parking lot. In addition, after making the reservation I was then told that there would be an excessive $82.55 charge for "tax recovery and fees". I declined and was told I could not cancel. Hotel tax is Bardstown is 15% Terrible property. I contacted the corporate office and got the run around and hung up on 4 times.
