  This is actually a difficult review to right. The room was nice and the people were great. Nice and quiet, slept comfortably through the night. Check in and check out was smooth and professional. However, their breakfast not so much. The pancake machine was broken, oatmeal machine broken, and juice machine broken. When we asked for bowls for cereal they were out, when asked for coffee cups they were out. The only food available was second rate gas station food and some hot items they were not appealing or that good. We had to find other options. So do not expect a decent breakfast. Other than that I’d recommend them. The entire place was extremely clean, except for tables where you eat.

  We were in town for the YMCA's state swim meet. Our overall experience was okay, but we did have some issues with our room: 1. Bathroom door would not latch when closed, therefore we could not lock the door when using the bathroom. 2. TV would not turn on. When we tried calling the front desk about it on Friday night we let it ring for almost 10 minutes and no one answered. The Saturday morning manager was able to get it working. 3. Our refrigerator was unplugged. We plugged it in, but had to wait until Saturday morning for it to get cool enough to put food in it. 4. We had to unplug the microwave to get the door to open. 5. I don't think our room was cleaned on Saturday, because we didn't have new cups and we ran out of body wash in the shower. 6. The toilet paper roll kept coming off the holder because of the design and location. Another issue we had was with the complimentary breakfast buffet. We got down to the lobby around 9:30a on Saturday. It was packed with a men's college volleyball team and most of the food was gone. The lady did bring out more food, but it vanished as quickly as she put it out. The hotel knows the number of guests it has and should plan accordingly - have two workers on Saturdays, increase the amount of food available, etc.

  Staff is beyond courteous, kind, helpful and GENUINELY friendly. Breakfast has a diverse selection from protein based to carb overload 😋 I have been a customer here since they opened the doors. Tried other hotels but...NOT THE Quality or cleanliness. Thank you all for your commitment to providing quality services

  I can not give the front desk clerk Rickie enough gold stars. She was awesome in booking and blocking off a set of rooms for our travel softball team scheduled in June of 2026 Thank you Rickie Knockouts Shackleford 8u appreciates your hard work

  Ricky was very unhelpful today. I walked up as she was taking a personal call and told her I wasn't in a hurry if she needed to finish her call. She gestured for me to go ahead, and remained on the phone while I asked if they had soap and an extra pillow. She explained the room already had pillows ... I have never not been able to get an extra pillow at a Holiday Inn but she said she doesn't have access to get them. I have never experienced this at any hotel but ok. As for the room, apparently they don't have disposable toiletries here like the face wipes and individual soaps which is disappointing. Another new for us. There are two holes in the ceiling from water damage and the couch has a white crusty spot/smear on it. The TV was angled down and couldn't be adjusted to face forward. The remote only worked if you held it behind the TV. Usually we are fine overlooking these things but we have never had such bad service on top of room issues.
