  Hotel is under renovations, but not disclosed prior to booking. Unable to get refund due to manager not being in until late at night. No hot breakfast on property, have to go to the Holiday Inn next door to get breakfast. The hotel was dirty. Dirty sock in hall. Elevator was dirty. Carpet needed vacuumed. NO lobby area. They converted an actual hotel room into their check in/ lobby area and there is junk everywhere. Not organized or neat at all. Room was HEAVILY SMOKED IN. SMELLED VERY VERY BAD. Not able to provide a different room. The bed was made with no blanket. Only had a sheet and the decorative topper. Worst hotel experience I've ever had and I've stayed at A LOT. I went to get a blanket from the make shift lobby at 3:30am and there as a man passed out or sleeping in a chair holding a very large bottle of partially gone Crown Royal Whiskey and the manager acted as if that was totally normal. Manger said she would "try to" comp our room but did not.

  Arrived to check in at 9pm for a prepaid reservation and was told they overbooked and didn’t have a room for me.

  Hotel is being remodeled (most wings and front) so I could only give four stars. Staff were friendly, room was a little outdated but was fine and clean. Breakfast was to-go or they offered it at the Holiday Inn. Only stayed for the weekend but it served its purpose.

  Britton!!!! Britton!!!! Britton!!!! I just met him this morning at checkout and he is the nicest, most knowledgeable and courteous hotel employee my wife and I have ever met. He answered all my wife’s questions and if he did not know the answer, he was able to research the answer and provide us the answer within a minute. He goes above and beyond and is attentive to guests. He genuinely cares. We will be coming back because of him, and we will create an IHG account as well. Terrific salesman, businessman, and employee. He also told us he has a degree in business. Makes sense now. Kuddos to Staybridge, you found a gem!

  We booked this hotel online through IHG primarily because of the social hour. When we arrived it was under major construction. The employee, who was pleasant, expressed dismay that we had not received any notification regarding the construction and that the social hour was not available and breakfast was next door at the Holiday Inn Express. He then offered us a smoking room-which was all they had available. I didn't even know hotels still had smoking rooms. We refused and he then booked us at the Holiday Inn Express. We double checked the website where it very clearly states there is a social hour and makes no mention of smoking rooms. If we had known either one of those we never would have booked this hotel. My recommendation is update the website, at a minimum. Management needs to contact every person who has a reservation, regardless of if it was made through IHG or directly with the hotel to inform them of the changes as well. VERY disappointed.
