  We are currently visiting the Garner Hotel here in Topeka, and we have only been here a few hours but it's already been such an amazing experience I wanted to hop on here and brag on them. From the moment we checked in, King Wind (3–11 pm front desk clerk) makes us feel right at home. He is somehow professional, outgoing and down to earth all wrapped into one excellent guest service specialist— his personality worked out absolutely perfect for our little get away to celebrate our daughter's birthday. King goes above and beyond, even providing us extra towels with a smile while juggling other responsibilities. We especially appreciate the way he takes the time to have friendly conversation and even matches our celebratory enthusiasm. His kindness doesn’t go unnoticed—my husband is so impressed he was pressing me to hurry up and take him some birthday cake to show him some appreciation! King truly deserves recognition for the way he connects with his guests. The entire hotel staff is also incredibly accommodating, allowing us to have additional guests for the celebration, which we are so grateful for. Beyond the service, the property itself is outstanding. Everything is exceptionally clean, fresh, and well-stocked. The rooms—and even the hallways—have a clean, pleasant scent that was noticeably the next thing we noticed. The pool and common areas are well maintained, and the beds are super comfortable with plenty of pillows. Oh, and excellent water pressure too. Can't say it enough, Location, location, location!!!! With a convenient store at the edge of the property, many excellent places to eat (Culver's, Freddie's, Buffalo Wild Wings, HuHot Mongolian Grill, Five Guys, Spangles and more) all within a block or so it is as perfect of a place to settle in as it gets in the area. I might also add that Dick's Sporting Goods, Academy Sports, Walmart, Kohl's, Sephora, Target and even Topeka's only Mall live right here on Wanamaker. A straight shot and within just a few blocks. This is why I repeat location location location.... AMAZING LOCATION! AND AN AMAZING HOME AWAY FROM HOME!! I give this hotel 10 stars to the 10th power ⭐️ and will 110% be recommending this hotel to family and friends visiting the area! Keep up the great work Garner, we sure do love what you're doing here.

  Staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent. Rooms were ok. Beds were comfy. The bathroom could use a better cleaning. The AC in our room didn’t work.

  The hotel was clean. There was a little noise from the interstate. It was older but updated. The staff was friendly and it was close to I-70. Breakfast was simple but very good.
