  Can I give no stars? Worst place I've ever stayed. Mold in bathroom, mold in the freezer of the fridge (how is that even possible?), broken outlets, advertised pool down for maintenance, keys didn't work, no elevator which i wasn't told until after the clerk watched me load up a cart. Changed rooms twice to try to find a working fridge. Gave up after the third one and just kept my fridge stuff in my cooler. The hall carpets look like they haven't been cleaned in a decade. Room carpet wasn't as bad but I don't think it had been vacuumed recently. In room temp at to 77 and unable to change it- way too uncomfortable for sleeping. Stains on couch. Really can't say enough bad things about this place. Clerk was nice but seemed unable to do anything but offer to keep changing rooms.

  Awful hotel manager won't speak with you about any complaints hung up on me multiple times. There is black mold on the air conditioner, dirty sheets, dirty couch with god knows whats on it, the curtains had stains on it, the refrigerator didnt work, bathtub wouldn't drian. Since we couldn't get anywhere with the manager at first we did call corporate (which they also didnt do much) and in retaliation they threw boots away that i accidently left there. Then when I got there to check the manager wouldn't come to the front.

  We stayed over a full and busy weekend and there were no other hotels we could go to. Our fridge didnt work the entire time. We attempted to speak to the manager the 1st day of our stay bevause we were told thats when she woild be there. She basically told us to wait until we check out to discuss our issues. The bed sheets were stained, the blanket cut in multiple places, the air conditioner has mold, the pool isn't functional, and the in suite fridge doesnt work. Normally if there are issues loke this at any other hotel the offer to move you but our hotel was booked full our first night so understandable the nighttime staff could do nothing. But the manager will brush you off or ignore you. We have family that live here and need to find a hotel where we can be heard with any issues. I will no longer stay bestwestern in Topeka.

  The only reason I gave two stars, and not one star, was because of the very nice and apologetic night time hostess lady. She moved us to a new room quickly when our first room had a broken fridge. They advertise a pool online and on their sign, but it was closed, and had been for what appears to be months! The ice maker is broken. The “fitness room” consists of three broken pieces of equipment. The elliptical itself should be removed, it’s seriously a safety hazard. No towels. The breakfast was the same gross cheese omelette and sausage stuff each morning. Made me feel horrible. We stayed three nights, our room was never cleaned! No trash emptied, nothing. Hallways smell like smoke. Our bed covering were stained. I mean I know it’s a cheap place but clearly it needs to be better managed. Owners are ripping people off! False advertising.
