Not the best experience. Staff is not trained well and I received false information, only finding out later that the young man wasn’t sure how to charge something to the room, so he told me I couldn’t. Fortunately, I pressed him and he called in his manager, who showed him how to do add the charge.
The pool and jacuzzi were under maintenance the whole first week, so that was another negative. The room was not very clean and a bit run down. Walls are thin, which made me glad I looked at reviews first and requested a room on the top floor.
But the worst part of it is that the drawers and shower door do not stay closed. That’s not something you want to walk into in the middle of the night. There was plenty of towels when I first checked in, but then the housekeeper (they clean every two days) left only two hand towels the next time, skipped the plastic cover on one of the to go cups, didn’t clean the bathroom mirror, left me only pepper packets in my kitchenette, no salt, and didn’t change the sheets in the 2 weeks I was there.
Shower was black by the bottom of the fixed glass, the bathroom sink was growing crud- you could only see it in the mirror reflection, and it just made for a crappy experience.
There were quite a lot of choices for hot and cold breakfast. The eggs gave me the runs (sorry, but you need all the facts), the ban was paper thin and tasteless, the sausage patties were good, the potatoes were always highly seasoned and almost always spicy. The one day they weren’t spicy, they were loaded with aromatic spices like cilantro, etc. I never tried the waffle maker, but it was there. Oatmeal, cold cereals, granola yogurt, mini muffins, English muffins, bread, butter, cream cheese, coffee, tea, but no sweet n low. Just pink, blue, and sugar. There was honey, syrup, and jellies, peanut butter, and I think that’s it. So plenty of other options. I ended up buying a dozen eggs and made them myself.
Once the pool was open it was nice. Hot tub looked good, but I didn’t use it. Gym was okay, too. Still, the overall experience was not great, so 2 stars. Had th housekeepers been cleaner, changed my sheets after the first week, and left me better supplied with coffee, creamer, sweeteners (one day she didn’t leave ANY, I had to go down to the lobby to get some for the morning), an extra soap (I was stuck with one half used tiny bar for four days), and some salt packets, I would have given another day.
I definitely would t recommend it.
