- TKTami KimNov 28, 20255.0We normally stay at the Hyatt Place, but thought we'd like a change of pace. Our reservation was made a month in advance and we mentioned a very late check in, because we were driving. However, upon checking in, we were happily surprised to be offered an upgrade ..but then sadly the staffer said she couldn't do it. We said "no problem", rcvd our key cards and proceeded to our rooms. Then upon unpacking I noticed that we were immediately charged for our stay. (staying 4 nights!) I went back and mentioned that issue, questioned why we were charged upon arrival and also we wanted to pay in cash when checking out. She looked confounded and said that we don't accept cash and we charge for the stay now. 🤔🥴 I'm 57yo and never have I ever experienced that "policy". I replied that doesn't seem right, and she gave a blank stare. However, we just wanted to go to bed, so whatever. Second issue is the very sub par breakfast situation. Consistently, (2 days in a row) run out of overcooked scrambled eggs, the oatmeal is hard and looks like dark gravy. We went to BK down the street. Positives: great pillows, showers and atmosphere. However, we will not stay at a Garner site again.

- CCCopelandOct 19, 20255.0Staff is wonderful. Beds and rooms are clean. Someone needs to tell City of Topeka not to pick up garbage at 2am and wake up guests with garbage trucks. Breakfast was leftovers reheated. The first day was good, the second day the biscuits were hard as a rock and the gravy was cold.
- LKLeslie KellyOct 4, 20251.0The hotel was comfortable and clean but I was disappointed that a hot tub was advertised but the hotel didn’t have one. I also asked for clean towels daily and they didn’t come. So my husband had to chase down the maids to get them. Hotel rooms are small but quiet. There was no channel guide for the TV. There were no plastic cups of any kind in the room. And no coffee in the room which people need. The front desk folks were friendly.
