The place should be shut down by the state boards as unhealthy. Every previous bad review is true, broken elevator, no ac in lobby the complaints & reviews from months ago are still not fixed!!! we booked without a cancellation option as I knew we would be traveling no matter what or I would have walked away and gone elsewhere. Staff very kind, but whomever the owners are greedy & should be fined and shut down until it is resolved. It is bad enough I am calling the state board to file a formal complaint. No person should breath that much mold ever. They have wallpapered over the mold, it is coming through the ceilings, beds, caulking, mechanical, fire sprinklers, Everywhere in the rooms. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here ever. The positive reviews seem fake and paid for.

The front desk team...especially William and Michael went above and beyond to make sure every need was met. Their warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and the fact that they greeted me by name every day made me feel truly at home. The hotel itself is clean, well-kept, and inviting, with an atmosphere that makes it easy to relax after a long day. It’s clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining both the property and their guest relationships. I highly recommend Holiday Inn Shawnee to anyone looking for a pleasant and stress-free stay. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Super affordable, friendly and helpful staff when we arrived, Mark was so great at the front desk. Water pressure was great, breakfast was good, just a super solid and affordable stay.
