  when I was searching for the hotels I specifically picked admenity such as a indoor pool and this locations was available there was nothing saying the pool was closed due to winter weather even though this has been a very mild winter so disappointing because this was the main reason why I picked this hotel and due to it being close to the Shawnee mission fun center this was a gift to my daughter for her 16th birthday with two of her friends and one of the highlights with them being able to go swimming at the hotel in a INDOOR POOL.

  Stay here a lot for work. Staff is always very pleasant and personable. They take care of your room every day, to some extent. Breakfast is consistently good, real bacon instead of the standard thin hotel version others serve. Very ample parking and close to the freeway.

  I stayed here last night during the snow storm. The room was clean, location was nice, bed was comfy, decently priced…all the usuals. They had signs on the front door and at the front desk computer about the stairs (outside to their parking lot) being slippery. That’s because they weren’t cleaned off. I didn’t read the sign until checkout, but I did slip prior to checkout. I came inside to tell the front desk staff someone needed to clean the stairs and that I had just fallen down them. The guest service rep didn’t say anything in response, just looked at the tv screen with cameras on it. She didn’t notify anyone that a guest had just fallen, didn’t take my room number, but most importantly didn’t have anyone clean the stairs. At checkout neither of us mentioned it, but the picture is from about 20 minutes after I notified her. I hope nobody else slipped. The gentleman working last night was nice and would open the door for anyone coming or going because it was too cold for the outside door wouldn’t work. He’s the reason I gave 2 stars for service. He deserved more, but the lack of concern for guests’ safety or wellbeing this morning was a major downfall.

  My stay here came during a loved one’s hospitalization. Pros: very clean room, most comfortable hotel bed I’ve stayed in for awhile. Cons: the whole hallway smelled like weed, there were 6 cars in the lot and I think we were all piled around each other. There were very loud men’s voices yelling, children screaming and doors slamming. The room above me sounded like someone was marching back and forth wearing clogs (poor insulation between floors is my thought). I’m all for people having the opportunity to let down and relax, but it was odd in such an empty place to have it all so close to each other.
