Stayed here numerous occasions. Great location, very clean, great food at breakfast and nearby for dinner with friends or business associates...and all within walking distance.

February 2026, we wanted to spend a few days checking out Salina's lovely downtown and chose the Homewood Suites located right there in the middle of it all. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and our suite was so clean and wonderful with every amenity. Tammy went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and that everything was PERFECT. We've never been so well taken care on a hotel stay! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and even found me after we'd checked out and discovered the sweaters I'd left behind. THANK YOU, TAMMY & HILTON FRIENDS!! You are THE BEST. We have bragged about your hotel to our friends and I bet you'll see them in the future. Have a great day! -Lori

Have stayed at this Homewood Suites on my cross-country treks to Colorado. Wanted to book again for this summer’s trip and found that they had jacked up their pet fees to $158 per stay. This is ridiculous, given that pet owners like me don’t leave any mess that would necessitate an excessive fee. As a HH Gold member, I looked at alternatives in the area, and the Hampton Inn in town only charges $75 (in itself a ripoff). Even though I am loyal to Hilton, I looked down the road and found a Fairfield in Manhattan, KS. Yeah, their pet fee is $30, so there goes my loyalty. It’s crazy how Hilton branded hotels now charge across the range of $56-$158 for per stay pet fees. I am resigned now to investigating multiple Hilton hotels in any given area to find the ones that don’t ripoff pet owners. Let’s face it, any fee above $10 is a ripoff, but I have for years been willing to pay either $50 or $75. Hoping that every greedy Hilton branded hotel gets attention from pet owners willing to leave reviews to help them understand that our brand loyalty only goes so far.
EDIT: Saw the hotel response and again looked at the pet pricing on the HH app - still charging $158 for the pet fee. There is a disconnect between the hotel’s reply to this review and what is actually charged when booking on the app.

I have debated writing this review but ultimately decided that this experience was insane. I booked a room for one night via booking.com and two days before my city was hit with an ice storm, making travel impossible. We reached out to both the hotel front desk (Erica and Mary) and booking.com and were told they would be able to accommodate moving our stay back by one day at no charge. We even had a three way call with Erica, and booking.com and received email confirmation that the stay was moved. (I have a message on booking.com from the hotel itself, and email confirmation of this)
When we arrived at the hotel to check in, we were told that we missed our stay from the night before, and that we were charged a no show fee. My first thought was, well if you thought we know showed, and you charged us, why would you not call us first or at least send us a bill of the charge?? When we provided proof that we had the dates changed, we were immediately met with attitude by Mary and her male manager (unsure of his name) And we’re basically told we were dumb to book on a third party and that they have nothing on their end that shows we moved the date (despite us literally having email proof). We called booking.com and they had absolutely no idea why the hotel would do this to us, and even said that it is alarming to them.
They did refund the no show fee, but would not honor our booking.com reservation and charged us their normal rate for the night which was two times the amount. They also said multiple times “it’s a lot more expensive so you might want to try somewhere else” 1. I felt like they canceled our booking.com reservation to get more money out of us. 2. I felt like we were being discriminated against because we booked via a discount site.
We had been driving for 10 hours at this point, and needed a place to stay so we just took the room and left it alone. We had our cat with us, which was on our original reservation, but when the room was rebooked they didn’t mention at pet fee at all- then when we checked out, a day later they charged us a pet fee again with zero notice, or explanation.
Overall the building is very nice, the location is great and the room was fine but I would never book here again due to these extremely shady business practices- I am a Hilton honor member and this makes me never want to stay with Hilton again.

Incredible hotel! Amazing value! Meticulously clean, beautifully decorated, smells great, and the staff were wonderful. Stay here! And then eat at Meddy's across the street.
