Nice dog friendly motel with great staff. Accommodations were very comfortable, breakfast offering was quite extensive from cold cereal to eggs, potatoes, sausage gravy and even freshly made Belgian waffles.

Cons: the age and so much being under maintenance. The tv also didn’t work. They moved us to a new room but none of the tvs works due to issues with their cable provider. $30 pet fee.
Pros:
The staff were very friendly. Pet friendly. The staff wanted to say hello to our dog and offered us fruit, yogurt and burritos even though we had missed the set breakfast time. The rooms were quiet! We stayed in a newer hotel before and it was so loud. This place only had two floors and even though there were other guests across the hall we never heard them. The beds were comfortable too. Lobby has free lemon water and pretzels.
We’d probably stay here again just hope renovations are more complete next time.

We stayed at this BW location on a quick cross country trip and were perfectly happy with our experience. The staff treated us like family (especially the breakfast attendant). Speaking of breakfast, make sure to look at all of the options before deciding! So many choices!!
Salina is a cute little Kansas town and worth the quick stop.

One of the older, more dingy BWs I've stayed at (especially for a BW Plus). Closets didn't close all the way, bathroom was outdated with the horrendous 90s brown, and I got put in a room with a shared door the room next to me (wasn't asked about it or even told beforehand). I could hear everything they were doing over there. Contractors working on a downstairs room were using stinky chemicals and/or smoking cigs right outside the door I could smell upstairs. Also $30 pet fee for my dog not mentioned online when booking, even if you say you have a dog. Would not really suggest this one especially if you're passing through on I70.

My night at the Best Western in Salina was everything I could’ve hoped for. It was convenient, inexpensive (I wasn’t even charged for my dog), and the bed and room were comfortable. Best of all, the free breakfast was incredible! I had fresh strawberries and blueberries on my oatmeal, and the water for my tea was piping hot (which is critical, but hard to come by). 2 thumbs up!
