I was staying in this particular hotel because it was close to my job and my car had broke down so it was cheaper for me to Uber from the hotel to work. However, the experience that I had with the staff was terrible. I will never be back when I checked in my heat was not working in the unit and I called the office and they sent up 2 gentlemen. Who were like and like jeans, hoodie baseball cap type of clothes which honestly, I didn't even know that they worked at the hotel, but neither one of them could fix the heat. So they offered to move me to a new room across the hall. However, I had been so nauseous and weak that I could barely stand up. Let alone gather up my things and move across the hall. They told me to just leave my stuff in this room and go across the hall to the other room, and I could use both rooms. So they went down stairs to try to get me the key for the other room. I told my daughter called down and tell them my mom's not gonna be able to move across the hall. It was left like that I told them I had a giftcard and I wanna extend my stay. They like, oh, don't worry about it tonight. Just come down tomorrow. I go down the next day. The guy at the front desk was like, oh, don't worry about it. You could stay here today when the guy comes in this evening. You can talk to him about using your gift card. The next day, the guy who came in that evening called me around 9 or so at night I can't remember the time to get my gift card information. I told him I had a 15% off discount and that the guy was telling me not to worry about today when I came down in the morning. He said he didnt know about any of this so We both agree that I would come in in the morning and speak to someone. So in the morning, the 2 gentlemen who tried to fix my heat came up to my room and was basically demanding payment for the hotel room. And they were saying, if I don't give them the gift card information, they were calling the police to have them, throw me out. At this point my daughter is scared and traumatized wondering why the guy is raising his voice and I'm looking confused, I'm like, well, I've been trying to give the gift card information, but I was told not to worry about yesterday. Y'all didn't know how to use it the night before, so I'm just confused as to why yall making it seem like I'm trying to avoid payment. I ask if the manager was here they say yes, the manager's here. I told them I'll be down in a second so I gather myself to try to get downstairs. Because mind you, I'm still not feeling well and It's taking a lot in me to get downstairs to talk to somebody. I get downstairs there in the office. I can hear them talking about me. And the manager's like, y'all should have just called the police if she's not trying to pay and so I tap on the little bell and I'm hunched over at the desk, trying to stand upright so I could talk to someone. they're taking their time coming out so I go sit down for a second, and then the manager comes out and is like what are you doing here? Why do people keep letting her book didn't I tell you you're not supposed to be here? And I'm looking at her confused, because I had never been to a Best Western.I'm like, ma'am, I've never been here, I don't know what you're talking about the whole time. I'm hunched over and leaning on the desk trying to talk to them. I have a gift card. I was trying to pay, however, when I came down to pay, the guy told me not to worry about It and I could stay here. He told me they wouldn't bother me and I could use my gift card in the evening to extend my stay. For the 3 days, so she asks the guy and he was like, no I didn't say that, I told her the guy in the evening could help her with her giftcard and she was like, well, there you go you either need to pay or we're calling the police. They were so rude and nasty towards me and traumatized my daughter it was ridiculous. The manager thought I was another black lady she trespassed before from this facility. at that point I knew I wasn't going to extend my stay. I could go on but i'll stop here.
