- KCKay CollinsNov 12, 20255.0Our cat was not ready to leave your hotel! We could not find him. I talked to Shelby at the desk and told her the situation. She and Dave in Maintenance, came to our room and lifted the mattress and box springs to locate our cat. It was above and beyond the call of duty! They were so patient and kind and eager to help! It was very much appreciated. I would definitely stay here anytime we are passing through Colby!
- BHBruce HansenOct 17, 20255.0Stayed there Oct 10-12 2025. Everything as expected. Room and service were fine. We hit the breakfast room at the rush, some people didn't have a place to sit. The Kitchen person was doing OK, but she had her cleaning towels and sprayer etc. permanently parked on one of the tables. She did this both mornings, so it's a habit. At rush, if she'd put her stuff in the kitchen instead, then that would have been one more table where people could sit. Some ended up taking their food to their rooms for lack of a place to sit. Sure, the building is not brand new, but it was well maintained, clean etc. I don't see a need to replace it, other than perhaps the company wants something bigger.

My only complaint would be the furniture seems a bit over used and could be replaced or mended. The chairs fabric in the front entrance are worn and loose and the bed side table in the bedroom's drawer kept opening itself. Other than those two small things I had a great experience at the Holiday Inn here in Colby.
- RRRickSep 12, 20251.0TLDR choose a newer option in Colby. The price here is too high for what is offered. I don’t know why this gets 4 stars. It’s a 3 at best. Probably fake reviews? Be advised that if you make a booking mistake they will not work with you at all. Essentially the answer is “you messed up, eat it.” Pretty bad as I travel a lot and patronize IHG hotels. I’ve never had one not work with me. Added a picture in case you want to see the shower head you’ll be staring into in the morning. Longer, more detailed description below. Accidentally made a duplicate reservation for this hotel. When we arrived at the desk we were informed that we would be charged for a no show based on the duplicate. Desk attendant said to see if IHG corporate would refund or correct the issue. IHG corporate said that the local hotel operator had to fix the issue. Eventually got a call from the local hotel manager that said tough luck you eat the charges. The hotel could have just told me this up front instead of making me spend an hour with corporate on the phone. The two of them pointing their fingers at each other and still taking a double charge was it for me. They didn’t even offer a bottle of water on a hot day as the lowest level of apology. Just eat it customer.
