  I have stayed at a lot of Holiday Inn's. This is one of the worst. When we came in to check in the guy seemed disoriented and seemed like he would rather get back to watching the UFC fight with his buddy while vaping in the hotel and spouting profanoty at the tv. The 1st room we were given was 204. We walked in to all the beds up on ends and stripped. With bed bug bombs everywhere. The guy just said. "OH, they should have marked that as dirty".and gave us another room. Wasn't very hospitable, no apologies. In the morning, we had to ring the bell multiple times so get a key because we left a jacket in the room. He finally came out looking like he just woke up. I asked about breakfast being at 7, since we had hungry kids and needed to be on the road by 7:30. He said. " 7-7:30ish". Even though the sign says 7:00-9:30. When breakfast finally opened up (7:15ish) only enough bacon for a few people and the pancake machine was broken. The front desk guy was up front for maybe 10 minutes from 7-8 when we finally left 30 minutes behind schedule. Other people were looking for him but he was nowhere to be found. We think he was in the bathroom the whole time because my kids tried to use it and waited a long time but it was locked. The key he gave my wife didn't work when she got back to the 3rd floor, so she came back down telling him it didn't work. He told her "you need to keep it away from your phone". Blaming her. Her phone was in her purse. He was complaining to the other employee that he had gotten there at 7pm and had to stay til 11am then ckme back in at 6. Overall a very unprofessional and horrible experience for a chain that used to be one of the most prestigious. This hotel does not live up to the standards that a Holiday Inn should. Also our lights in the room were broken and had a sign that said "management was aware they were broken and not to use them". ZERO STARS!

  This hotel just doesn't meet the standard you'd expect from a Holiday Inn. We stayed here for nearly 5 weeks. First there are roaches. We brought this up to staff and they were rather indignant about it. It is my understanding that an exterminator did come out and while there were still roaches, the ones we seen we very small so maybe it'll get rectified eventually. The pool was out the entire time, it's my understanding that it had been closed for repairs for about 3 months. There was only one ice machine, as the other two were broken and never repaired during our stay. Most of the staff are pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is slightly above average and it was usually well stocked. The fitness room is small but typical for any hotel, everything worked as it should. The laundry room only had one washer and one dryer but they worked well and are relatively inexpensive; $1.75 for a wash, $1 for dryer. Overall we was just disappointed and it's hard to overlook roaches when you're staying for several weeks. Last thing you want is to take them home with you in your luggage.

  I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Coffeyville, Kansas, and this was one of the most frustrating and disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. On two consecutive nights, the fire alarm went off at 4 a.m., jolting me, my wife, and other guests awake. The showers are also molded in all 4 corners for it to be a new hotel. When I brought this up with the general manager, not only did she seem uninterested in resolving the issue, but she also offered no apology. I was told the alarm was triggered by another guest taking hot showers, seriously? And somehow, that became my problem to just deal with. When I asked about a refund or compensation for being woken up two nights in a row, the general manager flat-out refused and acted like I was inconveniencing her. No eye contact, no empathy, nothing. It wasn’t until the front desk manager stepped in and advocated on my behalf that some form of compensation was offered. Even then, the GM silently handed it over without acknowledging the inconvenience or showing any sense of professionalism. This kind of management is unacceptable especially in hospitality. I expect a basic level of courtesy and concern from any hotel, and this was far below that standard. If you're thinking of staying here, I’d seriously reconsider.
