  The staff were friendly, helpful, and approachable throughout my stay. The check in and check out processes were very fast and efficient, and I appreciated that they acknowledged my Elite Member status. The room was bright, clean, and spacious. It was also well equipped with a microwave, coffee machine, cooking pots, a stove, and plenty of utensils, which made the stay even more convenient. In addition, the location was very accessible, making it easy to get around. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would gladly stay here again.

  Amazing stay at Candlewood Suites Reykjavik! The service at the front desk was amazing, thank you especially to Jakub! Easy check-in, and the room had a kitchenette with everything you need. The bathroom was clean and modern, and the bed was very comfortable. We parked our car on the street, and there is free street parking really close to the hotel. Great location, close to downtown, shops, and restaurants. Overall, a perfect stay. Highly recommend!!

  I am very satisfied with the service provided at this hotel. Due to a mistake on my end, I booked the wrong dates for my stay and did not realize till the day of check-in. I was so stressed out and worried about the rebooking process as this hotel was all booked out for the night and I had made my reservation through a third-party site. Upon walking in to discuss my options, I was welcomed by the amazing front office agent Bartosz. He was very understanding of the issue, called the supervisor immediately, and was able to book me for their sister hotel at the same rate the day of as they were not able to refund me (which was totally fine, I just needed a room!) I’m very thankful for the front office agent Bartosz who removed a great deal of stress for me and my family, and for this amazing hotel and its staff who truly care about their customers. I’ll be sure to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting, and will make sure to stay here the next time I visit Iceland. Also to note, their sister hotel, Alva Hotel, is also a 10/10, super easy self check-in and helpful staff just in case you need any help.

  Very Disappointing experience! Unfortunately, our stay was marred by a very basic cleanliness issue. We found a significant amount of hair left on the shower wall, which was clearly visible and not something we expected from an IHG property. What was more disappointing was how the situation was handled. I politely brought it to the receptionist’s attention and simply asked for it to be taken care of. Instead of responding professionally and taking ownership of the issue, his responses came across as quite entitled. On vacation, you don’t expect perfection, but you do expect basic cleanliness and courteous service when you point out a problem. Unfortunately, the interaction itself ended up affecting my mood for the evening and took away from what should have been an enjoyable vacation experience. The cleanliness issue was disappointing, but the way the concern was handled was even more disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously.

  10/10 highly recommend! After my Airbnb fell through, they were able to get me a room last minute. Everyone was friendly and helpful! The room was also fantastic. Super clean and comfortable!
