  Nice holiday inn. Breakfast in the morning. Rooms where clean and modern. The staff was all friendly and helpful.

  Listen, I wouldn’t normally review a small town chain hotel, but this is an exception. We had to come here to be closer to a dying family member in a nursing home. Casey at the front desk was welcoming and friendly - much better than many fancy resorts or big city hotels we’ve been to. The rooms are standard hotel rooms, but they have plenty of well designed storage, and charging ports. Breakfast was typical, except for the freshly ground coffee bean coffee machines! Everything was clean and individually wrapped in the dining area. Finally, we realized we didn’t need to stay the second night after all, and Casey let us out of that reservation at 5 pm! Customer service like this is rare. 5 star resorts and big city hotels - take note! If you need a place to stay in Washington, IN, this HIE should be at the top of your list.

  We rented a banquet room with indoor pool access for my son’s January birthday. My son thought it was so cool that he was going to get to swim in the winter. The pool room was unheated, and the water was absolutely freezing. The maintenance man came to ‘fix’ it. Told us it was at 85 degrees ( it wasn’t even close to that) and we never saw him again. My son tried to swim but he was literally shivering. No one could even sit in the pool room it was so cold in there. On top of that the woman at the front desk accused us of not paying the full amount and tried to shake us down for another $50. Thankfully, we had the receipt. I definitely do not recommend giving this place your money.

  They were great until we check out and two days later charge my dad $50 and he calls and ask to talk to someone about why they charged his card $50 but they couldn't find the reason why and the manager was supposed to call him back and never did. Bad communication and if your gonna charge someone. Don't wait 48 hours after check out when housekeeping was coming to my room next which would of been a little before check out at 11 they was in next room over. Stay more then one day they dont ask you if you need anything. Washer was broke but tempo could use it but not people staying there. The best thing was there breakfast and about 3-4 of their employees where so nice and down to earth

  This was as close as I could find to Edwardsport that had any availability. I have been staying less frequently at Holiday Inn Express, due to a few inconsistencies in quality recently, but I didn't have much choice this time. As it turned out, this is a very nice hotel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful when I checked in. They have 24 hour coffee, which seems to be getting more rare these days. Im also very pleased that they start breakfast much earlier than most hotels I've stayed at. This is my first time to the area, but work will keep me coming back. This will definitely be my default hotel for future visits!! They have the place all decked out for Valentine's Day (which is lost on me😂) ... but it's nice to see them make the effort.
