  Attended a family gathering here. Rented a meeting room for several hours. Meeting room and lobby area were clean and well kept. Staff friendly and location easy enough to find.

  My experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Washington, Indiana was FAR below the standard I expected from this brand. During my employment there, I have witnessed and heard about several issues that left me very uncomfortable. The way that some members of management interacted with guests and staff felt unprofessional and dismissive. When a guest has been given a discount by accident or on purpose by an employee, the GM or executive will go into their credit card information and charge you again. I heard guests complain about this to management who instead of trying to make it right, is evasive and avoids making it right for the guest. I also heard from multiple people-both guests and former staff-who claimed that tips left for housekeepers do not always make it to the employees they were intended for. I cannot verify every single story, but the consistency of these comments is concerning. Another issue I found troubling was a general lack of care when handling guest and staff information. In my experience, conversations that should have been in private were not treated with the level of confidentiality I would expect from a hotel. I have overheard and personally have been told things about staff and guests, that shouldn't have been told to me. Overall, the environment felt disorganized and uncomfortable, and the concerns shared by others only added to my disappointment. I truly hope the ownership takes these issues seriously, because guests and employees deserve better. I cannot recommend this location based on my own experience.

  My experience at this hotel was foul that’s the only word I can use to describe it me and my 3 kids 6 3 and 2 stayed not to long ago we came from Pennsylvania to Washington, Indiana to visit family for the holidays and I have stayed at other Holiday Inn express hotels over the years and have never had a Bad experience, which is why I specifically chose this hotel for me and my family but as soon as we got to our room, I noticed a strong smell of marijuana and once inside the room, even though it was a non-smoking hotel I could definitely tell that somebody was smoking cigarettes inside the room it’s definitely not family oriented. There appeared to be suspicious activity in the parking lot and again a strong smell of marijuana people hanging around late at night. Staff Communicate very poorly The woman who checked me in was very rude, making no eye contact the whole conversation was very rushed, even though there was no one else in the lobby waiting to be checked in and stuff had also used foul language near/Where my kids could hear which is completely unacceptable. If they don’t hear me, say those words, they shouldn’t have to hear A stranger at a place of business say them

  I stayed about a week ago I have stayed in many different hotels throughout the years traveling my husband and I and at this particular one I saw more horrors than I’ve seen my whole life roaches fighting on the night stand dirty stained towels hairs on the floor and SINK and what I can only assume to be FLEAS!! in the bed I woke up with bites all over my body and to top it off the staff was horrible verry rude/hostile and I am 82 years old and the language that I heard these employees using was disgusting there were children present in the hallways, and I am deeply saddened by the things that I had to witness and hear You could tell some of those employees really didn’t want to be there just based on the treatment of their customers there was nothing welcoming or warm about that place I will not be returning

  Stayed here for two nights. Roo.s were really nice. Breakfast was very good. Front desk employees were very polite 👌 👍
