Zander at the front counter did an amazing job. He was very patient, friendly and understanding with us as we were having some trouble with our reservation. He is the definition of amazing service, and definitely gives a very good impression on behalf of the business in being a friendly face that you see when you walk in the door. Great job!!

All the other comments about the lady at the front desk hating her job is the most accurate representation of the experience we had tonight. Her name is Brandy and she absolutely hates her job and clearly cannot do anything without talking to the general manager first. Called to ask if I could show a picture of my id because I did not have it due to my own fault losing my wallet. She told me no, understandable since it’s policy to have an id. I was already having a bad day so I did hang up on her. But did not cancel my reservation. We got there and asked to switch the reservation to my husbands name and she told me she already told me she couldn’t rent to me since I didn’t have my id. I told her my husband was going to put it in his name. She basically told me no she couldn’t switch it I looked at her and said do you have any rooms available? She said yes and then I said okay I would like to book that under my husbands name. She said she had to make a quick phone call. Which I did not understand you have to make a phone call to check the rooms availability in front of you? Makes zero sense but ok. My husband at this points feels like we are not welcome so we leave. Mind you we drove up from Cincinnati because my daughter wanted to see her dying dog. Not for vacation, this shows you that you have no clue what someone is going through and should treat all guest with respect and basic human decency. Anyway, we left but something didn’t sit right with me so I went back in. Brandy was on the phone with her general manager ON SPEAKER because she clearly doesn’t know how to do her job. The general manager clearly was annoyed with her because she said this is the last call basically do not call me back while dealing with the gentleman in front of me. I went to record my interaction but my phone died. I went up to the desk she asked me basically why am I back, I told her I wanted her name and that I wanted to know why she “needed to make a phone call” to book us a reservation when they had rooms available. She told me because I do not have an id, which I replied I told her my husband was putting it under his name, and the general manager, on speaker phone, goes “deescalate the situation Brandy, deescalate her” mind you I was not yelling just firmly speaking. Told her about my dog and told her to have the night she deserved. This was also 9 at night with two small children. Best Western do yourself a favor a hire new front desk staff my five year son could do her job better. Someone, anyone with a pulse is better than Brandy who give zero fs. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 30 minutes to go to a different hotel

Shoutout to the older white front desk lady with glasses who interrupted my nap ( she tried to say I was ignoring her when I went to open the door which i wasn’t ) to interrogate me about me leaving the trash outside my door for the housekeepers to take….. I guess hotel etiquette does not apply to a best western PLUS? I did make sure to leave it out WHILE the house keepers were still on shift as well. I was confused as to why it was still outside my room as well if I’m being honest The house keepers do not have to come into my room to take the trash away it has never been like that in any hotel I’ve stayed at EVER. I was doing the house keepers a favor since I normally clean the room and switch out sheets myself to make it easier on said house keepers especially if I’m staying for more than a weekend. Asking me if I see any other trash cans out in the hallway as if I was a 14 year old child……and even when I tried to calmly at first explain to her why I did such a thing she did not want to hear me and kept repeating herself over and over and talking over me so I gave her attitude right back and it was all of a sudden an issue…… very trashy behavior. Educate yourselves on proper hotel etiquette.
