Cancelled our room the day of the reservation which we had booked for a week and proceeded to move us to a hotel in another town. Completely untrustworthy.

Recently stayed in one of the studio rooms. The prices are okay but kind of high for location, pretty much Atlanta prices. This was my 3rd stay at this location and found numerous door hinges to be rusted, the bathroom tub grout was black, dirty or even missing. Just seemed outdated.

This is one of the worst hotels in the Valparaiso area that we have ever stayed at. The place is on the newer side. The rooms are clean. However, front desk staff are questionable. We stayed long term. Big mistake! I didn't realize that they disliked having long term guests. To sum it up, the general manager, Kat Larson, took an instant dislike to us. It seems that being from the West Coast upset her. She went out of her way to make our stay as unpleasant as possible by making up false stories about us. Some of the staff members would tell us about what she was saying about us and felt bad for us. Others just listened to her vicious rumors and were very unpleasant. It's really upsetting that we spent a lot of money at a place where we were not welcomed. This has really left a bad impression about he Hilton brand on me. I cannot in good faith ever stay at another Hampton inn again. There are other hotels in the area. I recommend staying far away from this place!

Stayed there on 9/19/2025. Overall the facility, breakfast, and check in-staff was good. However, our room had a 10" diameter dirty spot on the carpet and in the morning we noticed what appeared to be 1/4" dead bug on the mattress sheet. When we checked out we mentioned the bug to the desk clerk assuming they may want to check it out to make sure there wasn't an issue. However, the desk clerk did not seem a bit interested and said we could contact the manager if he wished. So we texted the manager. Have not received a response. This is not the experience we typically have at Hilton properties.
Please note: I did get a response from the manager after he saw the above review. He stated he did not get my text to the number on his business card because the number did not accept text messages. He also stated he checked the bed at the location we marked and he stated it was not a bug.
I thank him for his response to my concern.
