Hotel is nice and undergoing renovations. The rooms look great.
Housekeeping does well & the new breakfast ladies were very kind.
The staff who checked me in, Jan, was kind and helpful.
The checkout girl, I did not catch her name, was on her phone at the desk, sounded like a loud call on speaker phone. She was very uninterested in anything else going on around her outside of her call.
Overall a good stay, but a few member of staff could use additional coaching.

My stay at this Holiday Inn was largely wonderful, as the service and overall atmosphere were truly great. However, the in-room entertainment experience fell a bit short because the television technology was lacking. It was frustrating to find no menu or guide option to browse the channels, making it difficult to see what was playing without manually cycling through them. While this was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise excellent visit, an update to the TV interface would certainly bring the room up to the high standard set by the rest of the hotel's amenities.

When I checked in, I was told the total cost of the room would be $150, including taxes and fees. After returning home, I noticed that more money was withdrawn from my checking account than we discussed!
I’m not one to leave a nasty review, I simply
want to make others are aware of this so it doesn’t happen to them.
Be blessed

Let me set the stage that I am an IHG Diamond Elite member with over 1,100 nights logged at IHG hotels, and I have a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. My company spends millions annually on hotels, overwhelmingly with IHG brands. This hotel was also not sold out for this evening.
I was supposed to spend the night tonight at this location, but the employee I was scheduled to visit had a sudden death in the family, and so our client visit was cancelled. I called to explain my situation and the lady who received my call told me I would still be charged for my reservation, saying that there is no recourse to cancel without charging me. I know this to be untrue as I have had to make a few last-minute cancellations at other IHG hotels over the years for far less extenuating circumstances and I was always met with compassion and my reservation was always cancelled without charge. I communicated to the lady that this makes it far less likely that I will choose to stay at this hotel in the future and she got verbally aggressive with me and hung up.
I hope the $172.20 is worth the loss of future business and a negative review.
