Double charged on check in. Then finally get to our room and the toilets broken, got switched to another room and the keys didn’t work. Finally we get new keys and got into our new room and the walls and baseboards are filthy. And the pool and hot tub advertised in the pictures? Well the pool is closed for renovations and there isn’t a hot tub. You’re better off staying at the super 8 down the road at half the cost. None of the parking lot lights work and it doesn’t feel safe.

Would not recommend. Definitely got the $120 we spent, but even then, we overspent. The pool was overpowering of salt and the safety rails and ladder was broken or loose. No hot tub even though it’s pictured on their google page. Rooms are outdated and dark. I’m concerned rooms don’t get cleaned well because a garbage bag was covering the smoke alarm. The breakfast was okay, but the sitting room for it has only 5 tables for the 80+ rooms in the hotel. The worst part and the reason for the review: During the breakfast, I made the bad call and allowed my daughter to go to breakfast without shoes. She was having a rough morning and I didn’t think it fully through. When the employee stocking breakfast on 12/14/25 noticed, instead of talking to me, the dad standing inches away, about it, she points her ungloved finger in my daughters face, raised her voice and tells her to leave until she has shoes on. Completely inappropriate, no matter how right she was. I can handle my kids, she can say something to me but she should never tell a minor to leave, let alone yell at someone’s kids when we are supposed to be on vacation Avoid if you can

I visited this hotel to see my in-laws. It was very clean and quiet. We went swimming and we were the only ones there. The staff was very pleasant.

Seems like people were complaining mostly because it isn’t called “Holiday Inn.” The parent company is still the same if you have IHG rewards. All that aside, I enjoyed my stay here. We were in town only for a night with a touring musical and the staff here went out of their way to make our arrival special. I know that any place willing to put in that kind of effort is worth staying.

This place was advertised as a Holiday Inn Express. When I arrived it was the Muncie Place. Parking lot was dark. A banner was used for sign out front, rooms were dark and dingy. Not what was advertised. The desk clerk was indifferent. Said it wasn’t their fault if booked on a 3rd party site. Very misleading. The ol bait and switch. I left and went to the real Holiday Inn and stayed. Beware!!!
