We had a mixup with our reservation and there were no rooms left that I could purchase with points. I was a little discouraged, considering I have been IHG member for 13 years.

The hotel was clean, and the continental breakfast was well-stocked. The location is off the road and in a remote area, so if you are looking for a hotel where you can walk to places, this one would not be suitable. The indoor pool needs to be updated. It is dark and dank and looks dirty, even when it just opened. All the staff were great but it needs ome small tweaks

Can I give this place zero stars? I feel slightly bad for saying that because the service was actually decent but…
We booked this hotel for a one night stay when traveling for a family wedding. We had been driving most of the day when we got there and were pretty tired, so I just wanted to take my son to the pool, get some food and then sleep.
Our first impression was that the location of this hotel was not ideal. It’s right next to an abandoned building (our room had a view of it, see pictures). But we weren’t there for the view, it was a just quick stop overnight. So, we just closed the curtains and dealt with it. But then when we got down to the pool, it was so dirty. It was weird because the water itself didn’t seem dirty, but there was literal dirt all around the perimeter of the bottom of the pool. Like small piles lining the floor of the pool. And the tile surrounding the pool was filthy. My son was so excited to swim though, that we both just kept our water shoes on and made the best of it.
When we got back to the room and really settled in is when we noticed just how filthy and unkept it was. The carpet was stained in multiple areas, I didn’t take the time to take photos of every spot, but you get the idea from the ones I did take. There was a layer of filth on the bed headboards and the bathroom fixtures were so corroded. I didn’t even take pictures of the corners of the walls that looked like maybe there was water damage at some point and then they were poorly repaired and even more poorly painted.
Like I said, we were exhausted and didn’t want to go through all the hassle of trying to ask for a different room, so we just tried to touch as little as possible and kept our shoes on except when in bed. Plus, by the looks of our room, I was skeptical that any of their rooms would have been any better.
We were SO disappointed with the quality of our room and honestly really just don’t understand all the great reviews for this place. We will never, ever stay here again, especially not for over $200/night. Tonight we’re at a LaQuinta, on our way home from the wedding, and it’s $75 cheaper and 1000% nicer.
