Phone in room broken - falling apart when we tried to call for linens that should have been in the room. We had a room with 2 beds and couch and no dressing for couch called twice and I’m typing all this as I wait. Keeping all 3 of us up. Girl just knocked & delivered blanket. Dolly to bring luggage up was broken too. Yes I’m tired bad so cranky writing this, but linens & parking should be basic expectation

She took the time to work out an issue for me, and as a result of her meticulous work , I was able to have the peace of mind that I expect from booking an IHG property. The room, towels, and bed were clean, and the hotel was well kept, even the stairwells. This property definitely has Ms. Leiyahna to thank for her exceptional service
- NDNANCY DICKERSONSep 26, 20253.0Labor Day Weekend 2025 my family and I stayed here. My room only issue was the tub did not drain well so we had to wait a while before the next person took a shower. In my cousins room we saw a ROACH crawling up the refrigerator. The staff did come up disinfected the area and re cleaned the room. Breakfast time the food was fresh hot and taste pretty good only disappointment was the pancake machine was not working correctly the whole weekend and there was only one staff worker she has great customer service she made sure the guess had what was need to her best ability. Thank you again Tatiana for the wonderful attitude, great service and great food served.

BEWARE IF CANCEL Merrillville Holiday Inn Express and IHG customer service: I ended up booking a same day reservation and then canceling 2-3 hours later due to a car accident that prevented getting to hotel. I used points and cash. After chatting with ihg support initially they resolved the issue perfectly as they have always done in the past if issues come up. I am a gold elite member and was platinum in the past. Then the manager of the hotel charged me $153 for that cancel. After chatting with many, the hotel ended up with $153 and ihg ended up with $89 for an emergency cancellation! Not good at all!
