Great stay at the IHG in LaPorte, Indiana. The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and everything went smoothly. I especially want to shout out Brandon for his excellent customer service—friendly, professional, and very helpful. He made the stay even better. Would definitely stay here again.

Ok place. We selected the suite for $10 more. Instead of having a small dining table/separate space there was a completely useless large vestibule. A waste of a good area plenty big enough for a small dining table. So basically the only suite feature was an extra kitchenette sink. That was really disappointing. In other places a suite featured a large 4 chair table, a separate bathroom entrance and sofa bed area. Carpet stains n worn couch in the room. The common spaces initially look inviting. However, some furnishings are badly worn. Stained chairs, upholstery worn away or rubbed shiny from human hands- YUCK! The pool area is really bad with rust everywhere. The metal door panel looked smeared with blood! The 'table' is an uber cheap flimsy plastic with chunks missing. This place is on desperate need of some basic maintenance.

The room is clean and uncluttered. Staff have been friendly and accommodating. We are low maintenance, but staff were responsive when asked fir a room refresh and help getting the TV to work (spoiler- it was just the remote). Convenient location for us. Other guests have been quiet and respectful, even though we are here during a holiday week and many children are also staying here. Only complaint: not allowed to swim alone, according to the sign at the pool. I wanted to swim while my husband was in meetings, but will wait until he returns to take a dip. Breakfast is delicious - hot and fresh every morning! Has been a great stay!

This is amazing! The room is clean, it’s so big my son could play virtual reality. THE BREAKFAST, oh my god. It was one of the best experiences ever! This building is so young which makes it so good! But I do live in Greenwood, and this is in Michigan City. But it was worth it!

Apparently booking a room doesn’t guarantee you will actually get a room. Me and 3 weary travelers were unpleasantly ripped from the interstate during the snowstorm of the century. We had called and booked two rooms, only to find out upon our arrival, they were all booked up and thus could not accommodate us, DESPITE the person on the phone taking our card and reserving the rooms.
